hey Duncs

Can see on Sunday you shall be taking no prisoners and kicking some a** if your not getting supported,...

Good on you for choosing your attitude today and not resorting to old behaviours...very hard in the face of fire but you did it....and do it....

Go easy on that back my friend..hare and the tortoise....but can appreciate cold food may not be the order of the day if you resort too much to tortoise...lol

What you have is balance now Duncs and variety Sarah and the family is a big part of that and very one included and not left out...its great!

The one thing that always struck me about my exes gambling was that it was a lonely isolated pursuit even people in the bookies never socialise or rarely talk ..just fixed..

I never got that as he was a real social animal.

always forward and never back and life in technicolour and not black and white...

hugs

Rach and Doo xxx

Evening diary.

Well put in a 14 hrs day today re built my fridges to my standards and feel at ease again, eighty punters fed and all happy, tomorrow I will push the team hard and make sure that there are no stones unturned in my quest to satisfy all my customers.I do this because I have the ability and twice the desire in doing this I find my balance and know as selfish as this is there is an outcome that satisfies me and recovery has taught me that with balance in my life others will benefi.so to end come sunday if there are casualties they will be so of there doing not mine.

The massive benefit of my graft today is I get a lay in with that rock of mine and no doubt a good walk with my favourite hound before work and that well there is no price you can put upon that.

Enough said.

Duncs stepping forward never back. No bet today

Morning ,

14hours , but a job well done .

If it gives you peace of mind I can see that . I sometimes find myself doing the same , hate having things hanging over me.

Hope this means you have the day off Sunday , or is this the start of a holiday .?

What ever it is , you are right it is all about balance , I do struggle a bit with that , how to ensure my family , work and myself get what each needs . It's a difficult one but for me I am getting there although still work in progress lol

Take care ,

Shiny xxxxxxxxxx

Hey duncs,

Just dipping in to say have a great weekend your diary as always gives me that food for thought and boost that i need, I think one secret of happiness is gratitude, and even through stressfull times at work you have that in abundance. We have lots to be gratefull for and with the goggles off it becomes much much clearer.

Enjoy the sunshine.

Duncs,

Hope you enjoyed your long lie and dog walk.

Reading your post the other night about when things go wrong you would lose the plot and anger etc. Can really relate to that and can see how life can be once the mist rises, via your words. Enjoy your weekend and come what be come Sunday you know you will have a clear head to make the right decisions.

Stay strong

Steve

You are a real star my friend.

Evening diary. Well another day and for sure an honest dollar.thanks for all the kind words they do mean so much, recovery for me has become more than just recovery it's a life choice, I am just into my second half now and do sincerely have a formula, I wish only one thing and that would be to bottle it, and pass it onto every cg, funny thing is six months ago if someone had handed me a bottle, I without doubt would have laughed as I walked back through the door of the bookies to find the dream.to end one and all I take lucys ethos "believe" as without doubt if you "keep on keeping on" (thanks shiny) the penny will drop you will see a light, today through my determination I can see the light and I pay massive homage to all of you, we are all doing what's right for us and ours, there is no wrong or right, just keep stepping forward and share the light .

Tomorrow looks good, better than today another lay in, a long walk with mans best friend lol, then a stack of punters no doubt enjoying the sun, me loving my stove !!!! Have a great weekend one and all and just for today keep making that choice NO BET today.

All our mayonnaise jars will be void of sand (thanks ade)

Evening diary.

What an intresting day, put my hand in the sink this morning and sliced my finger right through the middle on a piece of broken glass so spent the day taped up to get through the hundred odd diners.on way home to glue it back together.my team have all risen to my challenge so no casualties, I am happy to report.no bet today and happy to say looking forward to another busy week at the stove.off tuesday going to see the new bourne film with my eldest, something else six months ago which would have been a non option.

Gamble free life is worth so much, more than any win, A future is what I have and wont be cashing it in no matter how tempting the odds.

Duncs,

Sounds like a sore one!

Enjoy the movie, if they are like the first 3 it will be good.

Good to hear that your team has pulled finger and you are not being forced into any tough choices. Though I am sure you would have been in the right frame of mind to make the right ones, now with a clear head.

stay strong my friend

Steve
