Hello Duncan
Firstly sincere thanks for earlier support shown on my diary..
Rarely come to these diarys anymore but randomly follow a few diarys. Did follow recent dramas and sadly bemused in seeing the immature arguments unfold.
Truthfully never had much time with the gamcare moderators and always saw these diarys as a way to unload as well as recieving and supporting other c.g's.
You've been a fantastic supporter to these diarys and a true asset, so saddens me reading your last entry and really hope you stick around with your upbeat stile and support...
Wishing you well and keep stepping forward

Hey Duncs,
I can't tell you what to do. In the end you know what you need to do in the service of your own recovery. But, that being said, I have been observing all of this from the rafters and honestly, it did not come across to me that the GC moderator's note was directed at you. Your words happened to be part of a larger context that had been removed. I really hope this can be straightened out. I don't want to be selfish here Duncs. I know you've got to do what you need to do.. but just wanted to offer my humble opinion. -joan
Got to agree with ex mug.
The gamcare moderators must've closed down for Christmas and new year as my question on the ask thread several days ago has been ignored when the whole situation could've been prevented.
As others stated your post was deleted from that diary but don't think was directed at yourself.
Other diary entries and there was one or two should also have had posts deleted in my opinion.a complete gamcare oversight.
The diaries always prove controversial every now and then.
Concentrate on yourself Duncan you're only a matter of days from a milestone,so hang around and accept the congratulations from your fellow gamcare peers who you've helped so much.
Onwards stepping forward.
Winning Post.
hi Duncs..
I also agree with everyones posts on here that it was not your post that was vicious it has just been caught up in the running thread ...
The deletion and moderator intervention is not on your diary Duncs ... ; )
R and D xx
ps ..sticking my neck out here....You can't leave.
Hiya Duncan,
Thank you for the lovely message you left for me after my return to the forum. Sorry I am not familiar with your diary, but in saying that I have read some of your posts to other members and you are thoughtful and supportive to so many. There is absolutely nothing negative anyone could say about you. Your recovery is the most important thing at this moment in time, and you have to do what is right for yourself but I do hope you are here for your year milestone.
Keep Strong & take Care

Morning Sir,
Nothing more to add that has not already been said. Just wanted to say it would be a massive shame if you left.
Hope the anger subsides,
Flagg
Dunc,
Like Ade i'm not sure what has been going on over the last few days on this forum.
However, it would make me very sad if you left this forum as you have been a great inspiration to me over the last 10 months or so.
it's your posts as well as Ade' and r's that i look forward to reading.
You are a big part of my recovery.
Please stay strong my friend.
Best wishes,
gazza
Hey Duncs
"United we stand...divided we fall...."
The systems not perfect my friend and probably needs tightening up but we are better in it ...as a united voice..
You mean a lot to so many people on here....a strong voice ,genuine soul and did II say BIG HEART plus an example that you can break out from a life of gambling prison.
Our strength is our Unity xx'x
You may not feel like it right now but I am sure that in time, you will purely focus on the one thing that's important.
And that's YOU. If you think that staying on this forum and keeping your diary going then that's what I am sure you will do.
After all, it seems to have helped you since you first came on here.
NT
Stepping forward never back.
Please come back,miss you

Ok this is a bit freaky.
I just passed the 50 days gamble free mark and thought today I would use my free time reading someone's entire thread just as a form of self help. I thought it'd be nice to read someone's long recovery.
I chose to read Duncan's as he's been very supportive to me over my 50 days. Total random choice.
I have just read nearly his entire thread(had to skip a few pages here and there, 260 is a lot to read) only to get to the end and find all this rubbish at the end. I don't know what has been written(I've missed all that) but I do know that from reading your thread Duncan you have been nothing but warm, brutally honest with yourself, compassionate, supportive and humorous. You are exactly the sort of person this site needs. You are a Gamcare success story to me.
Your thread talks from the beginning about the honesty and love you have given your wife and 3 kids(and dogs and budgie), your attempts to give up smoking, how you got your wedding ring back from the pawn shop, how you quit your job in September, how you got the job in the exclusive hotel in October and the joy at seeing your kids succeed at school or uni.
All that has been laid bare before us to read. A very open and honest account of your journey as a recovering CG.
You are approaching a year gamble free and I think you need to be applauded for your efforts to abstain as well as the incredible support you have shown others. You have truly helped me get to 50 days gamble free and I would be loathed to see you stop posting on your thread. You have given a part of your life to this site for nearly a year.
I hope that whatever has gone on in the last few days is a minor blip and you're back on here soon.
Best wishes Duncan.

Well was gonna write ....but I think sad g has said it all!
Miss you already Duncs.....my cheers stool is empty without you.
