Hi Dunc

Hope the haggis went down well- we had the full Burn's dinner washed down with the "other national drink"!

Thanks so much for your continued support on my diary. Also, I find you on other diaries and take hope there too.

The responses and congrats offered on your "anniversary" are testiment to what a great support you are to many here.

Keep the forward steps!

Irene

Evening diary.

Well had a day to test a fellas resolve.

Went in early to *** the prep came home for a few hours rest the pushbike broke down, set about fixing it, then Sarah had loaded the washing machine with an all time record load!!! Lol needless to say it exploded all over the kitchen!! Ma and ed had driven down to fit a beautiful shower screen in our new bathroom. Spent an hour clearing the flood then an age rescuing the washing. Ed took me to buy a new machine, then rushed home to lift it in. Then tried to finish the bike which i further ruined it!!!

Ed ran me back to work, were i served a great meal in the serenity of my kitchen.

Got a lift home through the pouring rain from the boss and enjoyed a lovely shower!!!

Washed away the sh#t!!! Off to bed got a busy days work tomorrow.

In my previous life a day like today would have ended up in me running straight to the bookies !!!

Today i smiled and grew strong.

My winning streak continues.

No bet today.

A massive Thankyou to my mum and ed.

I hope they too enjoyed there new son. All be it in the wrong circumstances.

Hi there Mr curry man

My sister is a veggie and as she has helped me a lot recently I thought I would try making a quorn curry to freeze for the next time she came over. It was absolutely yuckety yuk.

Any suggestions as to how to make this tasteless gunk edible.

Anything to keep me busy and take my mind off the dreaded problem.

Well done you

Duncs,

With regards to what your boss did mate, I have the utmost respect for you fella and I don't even know you. I'm sure bossman knows he's got a great investment in you and he's probably proud to pay you up in full. Sick's sick right. Hopefully he'll show you a bit more respect in that review this week matey lol.

Burns Night sounds great. My bro's partial to a bit of Scottish Fayre, and though the missus and I are foodies ourselves, I have to admit I've not yet tried the trusty 'ol haggis yet. Neeps & tatties with a dram right ? Irene should know about that one lol.

And although Saturday sounds like a bit of a "mare" day, you didn't budge an inch. Top man.

What's up with the pushbike then ?

Bilko

Evening diary.

Days rest today.

The new shower is amazing. Lol

i ran with my dogs through half a dozen miles of mud and puddles and more mud!!!

Home and showered them clean

Sarah will never know lol!!

Cooked a belated Sunday roast a nice dutch hen with all the trimmings.

Going to sort my tredder out in the morning as the gears are defunct and a puncture to boot.

All is good in Duncs world.

Why??

Well today i decided to continue my streak

no bet today

Evening diary.

Well back to work today, glad the rain abbaited long enough for me to cycle in dry. And the sun came out for the rest of the day, home now enjoyed the new shower;) Sarah does too. Took the hounds out for a run, there now hogging the couch worn out!! Enjoyed some spag bol and will continue with my book, once again a great read, Thankyou Mr rankin.

Great to see a post from Steve. And 300 gamble free days, i look forward to seeing him in 65 days to record his year.

No bet for me today why would I??

The conclusion would be the same, out of pocket, and self esteem and worth. Zero!!!

So the streak continues.

I did win because I did stop.

Thanks for curry advice, will try shops when not floodbound as a bit dodgy getting about at the moment. I ran an eatery in a previuous life about twenty years ago for a couple of years, strange though I seem to have forgotten how to cook, threw the baby out with the bathwater when I changed profession.

Appreciate encouragement and support

Hey Duncs hope you're well. Sounds like you're doing just fine.

Just popped in to say hello. Been very busy this last couple of weeks busying myself with gym, work and guitar practise. So much happier to be getting the gym time in instead of wasting it sitting at the pc gambling my life away. Life is so much better these days. Best wishes.

Morning diary

well my harmony at work was distorted today by the actions of one employee. A relation of the boss who seems to want everyone to have a bad day.

Me i sang ub40 songs and smiled.

Much to be said for rising above it.

53 weeks ago i would have been drawn in, consumed by my own failings i would have stooped to there level.

Today i just felt sad for them.

To be angry at the world for your own shortfalls is not were i want to be.

Today is a new day, a new month, the month of love.

Me i will spread a little; god grant me the serenity.

Power in the wrong hands is a dangerous thing.

Today i will show power its due respect.

Duncs stepping forward never back.

No bet, why would i??

Let the streak continue.
