Hi all,
Just an update to say I've purchased the Allen Carr book and already on page 60. It really puts into perspective and helps you understand we weren't 'born to gamble' or born with 'an obsessive personality'. If we really want to stop gambling we can do it with minimal pain and no willpower. It really is a great read and I can't wait to finish it.
I am an addict and have been for longer than I care to admit - I've faced this now and I'm ready to stop. After reading part of the book I have no concerns or worries about starting Day 1 today and why would I? Gambling is the cause of all my stress, financial problems, relationship problems and everything that is bad in my life.
The book gives a great example when it says the only people winning in a raffle are the people selling the tickets. This applies from small scale gambling like a raffle to losing thousands online.
I'm determined to keep a positive mindset and say I won't gamble today - or ever again.

Hi TB
That book is out of this world, great you have purchased it.
Agree with you, since reading it I no longer have a stressful time thinking about gambling, why would I, I am not giving anything up but quite the opposite, liberating myself. If you get a minute go over to my diary, some lovely quotes out f the book.

You convinced me is it better as a kindle or a paperback?
I will download kindle and get it on my phone tonight.
Thank you.
Hi Yourbetter
Either is fine it'll do the same job - kindle is slightly cheaper I believe! Enjoy it and read it with an open mind.
Sean - just checked your diary out and some great stuff on there. Congrats on your progress so far. I'll keep you updated with how I'm getting on with the book.
