Day 212.

So……… The Grand National came and went in my hometown. The most satisfaction I got from it however, was to see just how vast the crowds are these days and how this is a great income generator for my city👌.

Just going “through the motions” of late with my life in general. Tomorrow however, I will be ringing the education agency I am currently signed up with, to see if they have any employment opportunities on offer in schools local to me 🤞🙏🙏.

Tomorrow is another day so back to today……. I have been reading some diaries on here and responding. I am off out soon (in this ongoing blustery weather), to take a power walk with my sister and then back to hers for a cuppa and a natter. Later, I will cook dinner for me and my friend/lodger and then probably an early night in bed watching something on Netflix. Then some sleep, ready to tackle another week and whatever that brings 💪🤞🙏🙏🙏.

Take care all.

Hi Pinky

Doesn't that just sound like the perfect day ? What a lovely day for a Sunday and making the most of it. Time with your sister, exercise and talking. Some nice good, a film and a good sleep. Can't think of anything better

Hi Pink Lady,

Well done on your continued progress :). You are an inspiration. I've never been a better really on horse racing, but the most interest I usually get out of it is looking at all the funky and out there outfits worn by attendees on the Daily Mail (lol).

I hope you have a fruitful call with the education agency tomorrow, I really want something to turn up for you soon.

A power walk with family sounds wonderul and refreshing, along with family time - the simplist things often bring the greatest pleasure and feel good vibes. Let me know if you're finding anything interesting to watch on Netflix, I'm struggling to find a good watch at the moment.

Keep doing what you're doing! And here's to a good week ahead for you.

Fran 🙂

@12o8g9i0xr Awh thank you so much Fran 🩷.

Yes, that’s the only thing that interests me these days with the Grand National are “the good, the bad and the downright ugly” outfits!!😆

I am currently watching The Affair at the min on ITVX. Starring Dominic West. Very raunchy in parts!😊. It is keeping me going nonetheless.

Thank you also for thinking of me in the hope that I can secure employment soon 🩷🤞🙏🙏🙏.

Hope you are doing well and I look forward to catching up on your diary.

Have a lovely week ahead.

Day 216.

So……… All my DBS/compliance stuff finally came through with the education agency I have signed up with 👌. Since Monday, the jobs have been flooding through to me. It’s all a bit hectic and chaotic at the minute but being a very organised person, I am hoping that I can deal with this way of working and as long as I only choose jobs that are local to where I live and try to work Monday- Thursday each work AND get paid again! I will be happy with this.

I told the agency that I am not available until next Monday. They have already assigned me to a school not too far from my home for next Monday and Tuesday 👌. I am hoping that I will then be given further days, if not at this school then at another local one 🤞🙏.

My mantra for today as always is “Steady wins the race” and “See what tomorrow brings”. I will apply both to my new working regime.

I was already offered a job through the agency on Monday! This would have been great as it was a “long term” position, working in a referral school doing one to one work with a year 11 female pupil. Perfect match to my background as a Probation Officer/Programmes tutor 👌. The only problem was that it was too far away and now no longer having a car, this was just not doable on a daily basis.

For now however, I will just concentrate on working next Monday and Tuesday. Take it all in my stride and then see where I go from there. I was also offered a day’s work yesterday in a nursery, literally around the corner from my home! Although this is not my expertise, I have a wealth of experience dealing with babies and children and I love them. Still, it is handy to know/accept if any more of these offers come up on the last minute/earn me extra money 🙏.

Today, I am going to do a “dummy run” on my local bus to the school I will be working in on Monday and Tuesday and prepare myself for the journey and how long it will take me.

Today I am grateful for my 20 years service in the Probation Service, working as a Programmes facilitator, delivering accredited and non accredited programmes to up to groups of 12 people and also on a one to one basis 👍.

Never did I think that after leaving the Probation Service almost 2 years ago, that my skills/experience would come into practice once more!😆.

Today I am also grateful to have had my friend staying as a paying lodger. She will be with me for a further two weeks before finally moving into her new apartment she has bought/been having work done on. This has been so financially beneficial for both of us and now that I have been signed up for work opportunities in my area, this coincides nicely with her moving out 👌🙏.

Take it easy everyone and so will I 😎.
