Hi I'm new today so just starting my long journey. Was reading your posts @2020 Nick and I'm so hoping and praying that things are going ok for you. Never give up trying and I'm going to try follow suit. I've been gambling20 years but much much worse this last year. Owning up is grim but I'm enjoying my first day of greater peace not trying to think of the next lie/deleting emails / being scared about the phone ringing. Hope you are all finding some peace and hoping to get to know fellow recovering survivors

I used to wait up untill my bank account showed money...
I guess that’s my step one, wake up and the money is still there the next morning?

Rather than hope you get through payday, can you put some real action into ensuring you do?
Simple solutions to a complicated problem made worse by a complicated person. That was me, always looking for an excuse not to do something which in practice would make my life better. So...
How do you get the money? Give that access away.
Where could you bet? Ensure all blocks in place for online and bookies. Gamstop and Gamban online. MOSES for bookies.
Would being accountable to someone else help? Yes, phone someone and ask for help getting through the moment. Visit them, call them, just don't try to do it alone. Make sure someone near to you knows it's payday. Be accountable.
Don't worry about after that, just get through one day at a time. Then next day start again, just no betting for that day. Repeat, repeat, repeat, live a happy life.
