Hi Jess,

Thank you for your kind words, it's good to see that you doing so well congratulation to days 40 🙂

I'm in a better mood today yes I think is just this being away from home all the time what starts to getting to me but has to be like this at the moment though.

Today the sun was shining and this makes it a bit easier already 🙂

You take good care of yourself and of your family and keep the good work going.

Day 45: for me counting the days really helps i dont know why but i suppose it reminds me of what i am achieving on a daily basis.

today im going to sit down and write a plan as such as to what i would like to achieve within the next 100 days and how im going to achieve them i think this may help give me some more focus about other parts of my life.

yesterday morning i woke up and knew i had dreamt of gambling i dont remember what exactly happened but knew i had thats the 1st time this has happened since i stopped, it used to happen regularly and they would wake me in the middle of the night and automatically go to the laptop, this time it didnt wake me and when i woke and realised i kind of just went well that was weird wonder why that happened that urge wasnt there thankfully.

if im honest over the last few days i have had a few creeping thoughts of gambling in a sense of if i played and won this is what i could pay off...then i bring myself straight back to reality and weigh up what putting that "one" tenna on could potentially lead to and that (and this site) is what is thankfully bringing me back down to earth. even though ive had these thoughts i wouldnt call them urges as i havent wanted to play if that makes any sense?!

Anyway still feeling good and have every faith i will continue to do so.

Staying strong

Jess 🙂

Hi Jess

Thanks for your advice on my diary

Apart from my diary And OH I don't talk about my addiction but that's ok that's how I want it at the moment I honestly don't feel the need to download on anyone else as yet

Am pleased that is working for you to talk to someone else

Yes I agree with on counting days at this stage it helps me too and I also don't blame anyone but myself for gambling we chose to gamble and now we choose to stop

You are doing great day 47 keep going and keep strong on the roller coaster ride hold on tight and you won't fall off

Morning Jess

So glad you immediately pushed those thoughts awAy with that TENNER well done to you and we know where what that tenner would lead to disaster my favourite saying to myself used to be I will just put a tenner on

Another big joke

Just think that tenner now will go to you enjoying your friends birthday and you will enjoy the lunch with your head held high cos you are abstaining

ENJOY the day which is day 46 for you

Keep keeping strong

well today for some reason i just cant shake this horrible feeling, feeling pretty down with no explanation as to why havent felt like this for quite some time.just got to push through today and wake up more positive tomorrow i guess, thoughts of gambling have crept in today most definitely and i wasnt expecting it if im honest but will power through today i will not gamble!!

just a quick question do you think sometimes you replace 1 addictive tendency with another?

Hi Jess

Sorry to read you are feeling down but you are doing brilliantly ride through it anyway you can and you will come through and you know you will feel different again tomorrow every day is different on this roller coaster but you have been holding on tight and you will carry on holding on tight today because you know what happens if you let go the merrygoround and you do not want to get back on thAt it makes you feel /////

Yes I do believe one addiction can replace another but gambling is another addiction altogether you can't replace it you just have to abstain from it

Keep keeping strong you will feel different tomorrow

Take care Suzanne xx
