8th day gamble free, pleased how I have not been tempted, mind you I only have £10 a day to live on at the moment till end of month because of my latest loss 8 days ago. I was tempted to ask my sister for my savings back but resisted that urge, I lost most of my spending money this month and have to live on a tight budget till payday and that is the price I have to pay to finally learn gambling is a terrible addiction. Even if you win its only a loan until you finally gamble more and eventually list that plus more. Anxiety is an issue for me but I have started CBT sessions and I have massively cut down on alcohol which makes me feel less anxious and also alcohol weakens my resolve to stop wasting my money on this ridiculous habit / addiction. Thank god I have £7k saved with my sister and close to finishing my IVA and will be debt free within a year
You're doing really well and I'm glad you're aware that the fact you don't have funds is why you're not gambling. It'll be a different story when you get paid so make sure those blocks are in place. Can you order a new card and get your sister to scratch off the 3 digits so that you can't use it online? Have you self excluded online and in bookies (if you use physical bookies)? Its a a long tough journey but you can do it.
That is a good idea to scratch the 3 digits off the back, yes. I have physically self excluded from the local high street bookies
Hi Guy , your first post saying that alcohol weakend your resolve made me think back to my days in the casino where I wouldn't touch a drop , thinking it would give me edge over all the other as I saw them Mug punters , Didn't work mate as being here testifys .
You seem to have a good plan in place , just close all the doors and keep as many things between you and another bet and you'll be fine .
