So payday only 3 days away, have a little bit left but really will be struggling next month due to all my outgoings. May be that towards the end of the month I have to take out a small payday loan if I haven't got my inheritance, better than betting and losing even more though.

Nothing left in my account now as some unexpected funds came out. Great. Ah well don't need anything tomorrow.

Forgot to mention that the last time I bet was with 6,6,^6bet and they have since had problems returning funds and someone has over 10k that they can't yet get back. Shows how dangerous a hobby it can be and how corrupted the companies can be. I only have 50 quid I'm still waiting for but I don't hold up much hope. It was a shoddy website and I only went on as I had self excluded from every other website. Serves me right really.

Anyway can't wait for payday and a weekend away.

Just catching up on your diary

I know how dangerous paydays can be... thinking its easy to turn 20 quid into a hundred but then end up losing a hundred instead of the planned 20. Then chasing.. you get the drift. Hope you put the brakes on and keep building up those days.

I watched the whole prison break boxset over xmas & early new year. Became my new obsession too. Have you watched thrm all yet?

Back from Hamburg spent a lot but hopefully have enough this month. Sonic boom I've got part way through season 3 but I'm busy for the next few weeks studying so might not be watching too many episodes.

Ready to get my head stuck in books over the next few weeks and keep myself busy.

Still here, closer to being in a financially secure place. Next payday should sort me out.

So still gamble free but have to take out yet another payday loan to see me through to payday. It is a downward spiral just when I will get my inheritance I don't know.

I can see how people struggle though, as without money incoming (which I should get soon) I can't see a way out unless I confess to parents.

Simple fact - don't start if you can't stop as it will eventually stop you before you know it.

I took out pay day loans out every month from june 12 till as recently as jan this year. At one point at my worse around nov 13 i was paying back 800 quid on my payday and had no choice but to take out another loan.

thankfully got myself on repayment plans and am now free from all that b u l l s h i t!

Well I'm nearing that point, I have a combination of loans that I can't wait to clear up when I get some money from the sale of my aunties house. Circa 600 a month in loans, then rent at 280 and I only earn 1.2k per month. May need another payday loan in a months time. I'm never going down this road again, well and truly learnt my lesson.

Glad to see you are in a better place.

Sorry I've barely been on this website in the last month. I feel that I am in a much better place. Don't feel any need to gamble, my financial situation has improved and so has my wellbeing. Keep it up guys there is a life out there outside of gambling.

Just watching bbc breakfast this morning and they are doing something on online gambling later and some person who stole from parents. Could be an interesting watch of how things could have been if I or anyone here carried on.

Over the 100 day mark but did almost slip up while out in Bratislava as a friend was discussing really good odds he had seen on one of the u21's game. He suggested going to find a local bookies to put a cheeky few euros on, but then I came to my senses and mentioned that we probably.wouldn't see all the game as we would be moving from bar to bar on a friends stag do. Just to confirm, best decision ever!!! I never even thought about the game as we were having such a laugh and enjoying the beer and beautiful women.

Morning all, so finally have received my inheritance from my great auntie. It feels like a massive weight off my shoulders, I can pay off all my small-medium debts. Leave a bit in the bank to function like normal and only have to pay 200 a month for 2/3 years which is nothing compared to the 6/700 I have been paying over the past year. I'm glad in a way I still have my long term loan there to pay as it is a constant reminder of why I got in this mess in the first place. Haven't really thought about blowing the money on any sort of gamble or investment scheme, I'm just happy to be living normally again, and even hopefully setting up some good savings for my next adventure abroad.

Stay strong everyone, I've had a lucky escape and I know I could have been in deep s**t had I not been given a lifeline. Only bad things can happen from gambling.

Watch this space for an update in a month or so to see what my life is like post debt trouble.

Hi Dan,

It's good to read you have been able to pay some gambling debt off, but please remember this addiction is not about the money, it's about self destructing our lives, being in debt in just a part of this addiction,

Please stay in recovery mode, otherwise this addiction can hit you from nowhere.

Take care.
