Thank you Lou Lou. You are an absolute treasure x x x.

Hello Diary

Can't believe it is just 3 weeks to Christmas.

Have got a few christmas cards to write on this weekend and will pop them in the post Monday.

Never bother putting decorations up before but might this year to celebrate my gamble free Christmas.

Love and best wishes to all my gamcare brothers and sisters.

I taught the ducks a few Salsa moves.

Their favourite song is "Danza Kuduro" by Don Omar, Lucenzo.

The went quackers when I played that on Spotify.

Thought I would try an attempt to make a poem as you always do to brighten everyone elses day

''People dont realise how much of a difference they make.

The freinds that are there for you when you feel like your going to break.

The kindness that shines out of you is a ray of light, for those that dont always feel right.''

Many thanks friends for visiting my diary.

Scotty.... You are very supportive and a true gentleman. My thoughts are with you as you try so hard to support your wife through the trauma she is experiencing.

I imagine you are also very upset by the recent seizures you have been having and I know you struggle with remorse from your gambling past.

Please be kind to yourself dear friend and be proud of what you have a achieved. In the face of adversity you have shown yourself to be an honourable man with compassion, courage and integrity.

Lou Lou.....I am over the moon with the poem you wrote and have reprinted it below:

"People don't realise how much of a difference they make

The friends that are there for you when you feel like you are going to break

The kindness that shines out of you is a ray of light, for those that don't always feel right."

Beautiful words Lou Lou.

During your nursing career, your patients would have been thinking exactly that of you as you tended to their wounds and ailments with compassion, warmth and understanding.

Love and best wishes.

Stephen x x x

Hi Stephen (Aum)

Just to say that I love reading your diary, makes me smile and I love the poems and rhymes you create!

I should comment more often on people's diaries and keep meaning to restart my own, perhaps it's a good way to marshal my thoughts.

Best wishes on a continued gamble free recovery

Steven 🙂

Hi Stephen,

Thanks for your support yesterday. Good to see you in high spirits and looking forward to festivities.

I never really understood the feature of a duck in your posts but guess whatever floats your boat ? (ya see..that's me showing my strange humour where i make myself laugh!!!). Thanks for raising a smile to this tired and wrinkly face.

Have a good day! Hope you can return to dance classes as i remember you loved them deeply!

S&B xx

Many thanks for visiting my diary:

Steven .... Just looked on your profile page and was very impressed to see you are 906 Days gamble free.

Would be good to see you update your diary as I do believe it is good to keep a record of one's recovery and I will certainly post a welcome on it.

Sandra ....Really proud of you for the way you handled the recent misunderstanding and respect for saying NO to the gambling addiction. It is a sad fact that gambling addiction tries to influence our thoughts whenever we feel hurt, upset or angry so full marks to you for drawing on your reserves of courage, resilience and understanding.

Lou Lou .... You are a treasure and I value your support and encouragement. Keep smiling dear friend and look to the future with optimism because one day soon you will discover the contentment and happiness that you deserve.

Love and best wishes.

Good evening friends and goodbye.

I am several months into recovery now and feel the time has come for me to move on.

Was having a wonderful time in the chatroom this evening with friends old and new when someone turned up and tried to create conflict. The comments I wrote were deleted.

I really don't need that kind of nonsense.

Love and best wishes to all the good people in gamcare.

Thank you Stace & Lou Lou.

I cannot for the life of me understand why someone would start trying to create conflict by making scurrilous remarks to those present in the chatroom. Up to that point it had been a friendly, welcoming and supportive chat.

Wishing you both every happiness as you continue with your recoveries.

Please do not let tonight's events stand in the way of your recovery. You are too good for that.

Love and best wishes to you both

From Stephen x x x
