Sandra. Just thought I would stop by. You're right people (me) stop posting because they're gambling again. It's weird but whilst I have no intention of starting again, I know that if I slip, the only way to get back on track is to get onto this forum. There is a sense of shame that you have slipped, but as you say this forum and these diaries are for us. We can post anything that helps us. To write is to talk and for some of us that is all we have in the way of therapy. I don't always post on your thread, but I always read what you write because it helps me. You don't have to respond, no one does ! That's the beauty of this site we help each other by just being here! , you rant on all you like because your rant is nothing more than most of us think at some time or another. Keep on fighting this awful addiction xxx

Hi Sandra,

You are one of the many influential, honest and wonderful supporters off this site. I always look forward to seeing how you are getting on cause you just tell it as it is which can be difficult for some.

Be safe and have a belter of a weekend.

Hey Sandra

Hope you are well. I have not gone quiet, in fact, I have been on here loads since being off with my chest infection. Don't worry, I am going nowhere in a hurry.

Take care and have a lovely gamble free weekend.

Hi Sandra,

Well done on continuing to be gamble free and staying calm and happy in recovery. In terms of gambling issues, while no news is good news, it is still vital to keep that guard up. Gambling is a dirty fighter, so while you're giving it the finger with one hand, punch it in the gonads with the other!

Just to add to the previous post, I hope you find adding boxing to your exercise routine fulfilling. Whenever I get it in my head to really get fit and lose weight, I usually hang up my heavy bag, and boxing plays a big part of the exercise. If you have a garage or a shed, I'd definitely recommend it. It is great for getting rid of anger and frustration. I used to try and combine it with skipping, which is another traditional boxing exercise, but my co-ordination was never good enough to get my feet over the skipping rope!

Hi Sandra

Thanks for the support on my diary, I don't have the time to write when I'm working but I still come on and read the diaries, and it's such a great feeling when people take the time to offer kind words of support. It's time I did more.

Glad your doing well with both the abstinence and cc, I'm still on level 500, been playing pyramid solitaire saga, not as good though lol.

Keep up the good work and take care x

Yo,

Just sending you a hug .

Why cos can hear your frustration, have a few good days feel real progress is made then shocked when the not so good days come .

And wonder w*f , will I ever get off this roller coaster .

I suppose my view is it took me over 50 years to become that person, the one which let her addictions rule her life. That the behaviours that went with that are in ground. So will it take another 5o to learn different behaviours , who knows but what I do know is for me the good days start to outnumber the bad.

It does not happen over night but it does happen.

Just have to continue going forward with the journey, cos going backward ain't an option .

You are doing brill my friend ,

Keep on keeping on ,

Shiny xxxxxxx
