Another day done. Spent the whole day with my family and loved not being distracted by checking random scores for most of the day.

scott, great idea about the dream team that could be the answer. I am definitely sticking with you and we will get to xmas clean I know it. What a brilliant xmas if we can.

Well done for getting through another day. I know what you mean about being distracted. I couldn't enjoy holidays or days out because I'd gave tennis scoreboards and golf leaderboards on my phone and that's all I was interested in. It's so nice to just be free of that stress.

I might give the dream team a go too. Good idea to keep an interest without risking money.

Thanks for the support as always guys. Mixed day today, but a clean one. Feel like half the person I was - but understand that wasn't the real me.

thought you slipped when i read your last post but so glad you havnt , regarding the football season , just remember 2 things gambling is completley pointless , and secondly you have won today as you did not gamble / somebody bet 5 pounds won 10 then bet the 10 that they won then lost the 10 / somebody else didnt win 10 because he did not gamble , [ who is better off ] well he who did not gamble did not win 10 and also did not loose that 10 again , but he most importantly did not spend,waste, bet 5 to start with so , basically he who didnt gamble was left with more money . My point well when everyone you know maybe gambles on football , if you want more money at the end of it then you should follow the guy who did not gamble , as your friends or whoever backs football then overall they will be down where if you dont gamble on football you like that guy will be up overall, all the best simon

Day 14 well underway. I definitely won't be gambling today.

Simon you're spot on - I can never win at gambling so why bother. The irony im struggling to deal with is the same for many on here by the sounds of it - I used to be able to take betting or leave it, wait for the right bet to come along then cash in. I was readily able to pick winners, big bets on over 2.5 goals in villa v Bradford, utd v city and bayern v dortmund enabled me to be thousands in front. Yet always at the back of my mind I knew it could all come crashing down, and it duly did. One big bet loser led to a pattern of chasing that has left a devastating legacy. This pattern then repeated time and time again.

I now understand that I cannot win because I cannot stop, and if the pattern repeats one more time I'm finished.

Your right mate I won hundreds on the golf 2balls but the winnings just went to betting tokens which never lasted long. We are winning every day we dont bet mate.am not going to lie,i absolutely miss having a punt but know now I cant do it.i feel alot better in day to day life not betting tho so thats the way I will stay.

Day 15 and the start of a new week. The days are starting to blend into one now which I think is a good thing!

Loads of other issues to work through but not gambling is at least allowing me to face things whereas previously I would have buried my head in a bet.

Ryt mate,good to hear your getting a clear head staying away from the bet. Some days will be so easy others will be hard but the more betfree days we rack up the easier it will get.have a good bet free day tomorrow.your drive and commitment is making things easier for me to stay on this long road to recovery.keep it up mucker.we WILL make xmas and santa will be in top for at our house's. 🙂
