Hey Shiny,
Thank you so much for the posts you have left on my dairy - they really, really cheered me up. What can I say except the world is a continuous learning curve. I didn't think I would be back on Day 1 but some things happen for a reason and I think this is meant to be. I suppose I became complacent but it certainly won't happen again. After not being able to go one day without smoking I have finally stopped and feel great. It is all about how you approach something mentally. If you do so with a feeling of doubt and regret you will set yourself up for a big fall. I approached my gambling and smoking full of excitement and expectation this week and the truth is I haven't had one bad craving for cigs or urges for gambling.
Anyway, how are you doing? You are a big, big miss on here and it saddens me that the "newbies" on here who seem determined to stick with it have never had the joy of receiving some lovely words of support from you. Having said that I count myself very lucky that you were kind enough to come out of retirement to pick me up.
I hope everything is great in your life. If ever one individual deserves peace and happiness it is most certainly you.
P.S. By the end of Day 1 I had amended my new financial spreadsheet about twenty times. Often getting a little carried away with how fast I can pay my overdraft off. I also have a new spreadsheet which calculates how many cigs I haven't smoked and how much money this will save. What am I like. I love it.

I am back !
Not coz I have been gambling just coz I am feeling very very vulnerable at the moment .
So many pressures in my life at the moment , too many to be honest . None that I wish to go into at the moment .
This site helped me enormously in the past , so I am turning back to an old friend to help me through the troubles that lay head .
Thank you all for your posts during my absence , I have read regulary but until now have not felt the inclination to post on my own thread .
