Day 98...not a lot to report...no news is good news and all that. Life is pretty quiet at the minute, but that will only last until next Friday when it's party time again 🙂 then it will be countdown to holidays in Sept and Oct and have a mini trip to Wales in Aug to look forward to as well. There's no way I'd be doing any of that if I hadn't gotten through the past 98 days.

It's payday today, spent £19.79 on myself - when I say myself I mean a candle for the house lol. I do love a nice candle! Got to get the house tidied for my visitors arriving at the weekend so got plenty to keep me busy, then I can enjoy a nice meal out on Saturday night with the family and celebrate reaching 100 days xx

Hi Shorty

Congrats on almost reaching 100 days. They are the hardest 100 and things only get easier from here on in. Just stay strong and remember what you would throw away if you gambled again.

Stay as strong as your personality and you will be fine.

There is never a day that will come where you can say, "I did it" but everyday is a day that you can say "I am doing it" and as long as you keep doing it, you have done it!!

Lol...I wish I lived in bloody Knightsbridge, according to the map I live more than 200 miles north! Unfortunately 20 quid is the going rate for one of those Yankee candles....I've seen candles in Selfridges for £40+.....one day I'll treat myself to one of those!

Day 105...got a crazy, busy weekend coming up this weekend. Not looking forward to the hangovers but will be nice to see some old friends 🙂

Day 111 - just about managed to surface after the weekend.....and having a much needed 3 week break from the nights out it was that mental!

Damo.....errrrrrrrrrrr wax my friend, even at that price haha!!

On countdown to the holiday season now, can't even risk placing a bet because it will screw up ALL MY AMAZING PLANS!

Day 118....it takes a long time on this road of recovery to realize that you are a gambler FOREVER. You don't do so many days and then become the average joe bloggs walking along the street that can place a £5 bet, lose and walk away. I have finally reached that after years Of trying to quit. Urges have been immense this week have been lucky to escape unscathed. Too much time on my hands as been off work but going away tomorrow thank goodness so will be safe And barriers are all safely in place!

Day 124....beyond depressed today. Don't know where all my money goes. Don't want to be in work just want to hide under the covers and never come out. Just got to keep fighting on and know that if I can stick with it that in a few years time the debts will all be behind me and I can finally breathe. I thought I had been doing really well but obviously having been away last week I ended up spending more than I thought I had. Got an expensive September coming up too but once I get through that then I should be good for a couple of months before the xmas stress starts.

Hey shorty....I know exactly how you are feeling at the moment.
Masses of debt in the background that are going to take years to pay off and I have so many things coming up...car needs MOT and insurance next month. I also have two weekends away to pay for as well. Then as you said it all starts again when xmas is around 🙁
I am trying to see the positives though....If I was gambling I couldn't have afforded to do any of the things that I have been doing recently and although the debt is always in the background day by day I am thinking of it less and less.
Try to stay positive....124 days is an amazing achievement well done!!!
Damo
