Day 175

Made the best decision of my life 2 days ago when I was feeling rather stress and anxious ! I know it was due to having a massive urge to gamble for no apparent reason , I guess it’s some kind of withdrawal after being clean for this long . Well, I manned up and told my wife that I’m stress and feeling like gambling so I beg her not to let me and support me on this difficult challenge . She have been there for me and helped me to prevent gambling again ! I must say I felt really relieved and happy ! It’s all about commitment and choosing the right path ! And keeping a good mind set . Again I’m just doing this One Day At A Time ! We are all one bet away from ruining our lives ! It’s not an easy journey but I’m not going to find excuse to gamble but instead i am finding a better avenue to have a more successful , happier and healthier life for my family !

@ thanks Sharon for your support and very well done for staying GF to ! Nearly 300 for you 🙂

Keep hanging in there Sars, your doing really well.

You seem to get a buzz from just living life to the full so there really is no reason to gamble. Hope your still a regular in the gym and keeping yourself in good shape. Take care. Stephen

Day 186

I just read some of my old post on this thread and it instantly made me realise how lucky I am to remain gamble free up to this very moment. Joining this website has been an eye opener and a life saviour . I can’t imagine how much of a mess “our” lives would be (my family) if I haven’t stopped gambling. I’m pretty sure that I would have gambled away our 60k savings by now (was 50k savings 6 months ago) , I’m so lucky to only lose 3k 6 months ago and accepted that what’s done is done. On the plus side we’ve saved 10k more since then and we’re a lot happier and we spend more time together as a family 🙂 in fact we were at friends birthday party last night 🙂 . There’s so many positive outcome since I’ve stopped ! Thank you gamcare and everyone for the support !

cheers Matt & Wilsy for reading my diary 🙂 and for the support guys .
