Thank you for the kind words on my diary Sars.

It is wonderful to see you enjoying the gamble free life. It sends a very positive message out to other compulsive gamblers.

Wishing you continuing success, happy times and contentment...stephen

Sars your story is Inspiring and I amazed you have come till today with no gambling.

I gambled tonight and I told my girlfriend I spent 500 in 30 mins on the machine. It's putting allot of strain on the relationship.

She has enough I love her so much but the gambling gets hold of me .

I have a daughter on the way and I'm ruining her life by not saving.

I'm really lost untill I have found your thread I'm so happy.

There's hope!! I'm.going to start from tomorrow.

Ok day 3

I have work tomorrow i gambled tonight in the casino 200 pounds I told my pregnant girlfriend straight away.

I have been on the phone with her for three hours crying .

I feel suicidal there's noone I can speak to who knows my problems .

I want to bond with someone who can tell me a bit of there personal life so I can relate to them. I want to feel I am not the only one.

I am so depressed I thought I would stop gambling but I havnt. I am so depressed. They should ban gambling in UK like Japan have.

It's worse that drugs .

Hi Sars,

I was reading down the forum and saw your name and remembered you from when I joined here, I remember we had both just pretty much started our gamble-free journey about a year ago. Well done for making over a year Sars, that's awesome! I made it to 364 days - my all time best in 5 years 🙂 I messed up, but I am hoping to get back on track. Seeing you making it this far has really helped me today, thank you for continuing to share your journey.

Day 410

Loving every single moment of my gambling free life ! Life is getting better everyday ! Now we are expecting a baby girl ( my second one ) the wife is 5 months pregnant and our business is growing and it looks like we’re ready to get a new car soon 🙂 . The key is be honest to your other half and don’t b afraid to get some help ! Keep yourself busy with other things like going to the gym and spending time with the family . I was like a little kid yesterday with my boy as we were just jumping and chasing each other in the park 🙂 LIFE IS BEAUTIFUL DONT RUIN IT !

@selfie121 I’m sure you’ll get through with all the challenges you’re facing ! Speak to gamcare and just be truthful to your family and everyone around you buddy ! Good luck !

@sharon we can do this and we are not backing down ! High five 🙂 thank you for being such a cool friend here 🙂

@admin Eva thank you and I will continue to spread my success to everyone here 🙂 hopefully see you in the chatroom soon .

@bluescreen cheers dude 🙂

@lightsout I do remember you and a year ago it was a tough tough challenge ! I think what helped me is I haven’t stopped reading the forum and updating my diary to remind myself I’m not cured and will never be cured 🙂 I’m sure this time around you’ve got this ! Nice to hear from you 🙂

Sars,

its fantastic to see how amazing your life is now you are really LIVING it! Yes, I stopped reading. I think you are right, we may never be 'cured', therefore we must keep the boundaries in place. It really helps to see you continue to do well, and a massive congratulations on your new addition - wishing you and your family continued health, (true) wealth, and happiness!

A legend on the gamcare road lighting up the trail

Our Sars is surging forward with the wind beneath his tail

Gambling crazy had to stop - he knew he'd had enough

It's good to see him happy now with loved one up the duff

Hard work, hope and honesty i'm sure you will agree

Is what propelled him forward on his mission to be free
