Yo,

I hate to tell you this but for me those urges never go .

Think they happen less and less and with a lesser intensity . But like you I just resist them , do not get cross at having them .

Well done for not acting on them , do today was probs a good day cause of it I recon .

Hope you enjoyed the footy and spending a guilt free day , reminds us why we never ever want to go back there .

Take care

Shiny xxxxxxx

day 95

Well had a few busy days today I actually spent some money on me as I don't gamble anymore I have some cash and I wasn't thinking better not spend that cos I wanna have bet. I got some new stuff for my running and i also decided to treat myself to some new clothes as I haven't bought new clothes for a while. Then it was mates birthday so group of us headed down pub for few strawberry ciders and watch the footy. I have to say it is first full game of season I have watched and thoroughly enjoyed it without thinking I could make some money on this or that.

Today is the proper start of my 18 week marathon training which means I will be running 5 days a week with Monday and Friday off, so I will check in on flaggs challenge tomorrow and catch up on some diaries then

No gamblings the new gambling

Carl

Hi carl, cheers for the post, yep things are looking good for me at the minute and i'll be doing my best to keep it that way. Judging by your last 2 posts your moving along nicely yourself. Its nice to have a treat now and again, youve earnt that by doing so well for 90+ days. Glad you enjoyed the footy and for the right reasons, its a great game no need to spoil it with a bet. Keep enjoying those mondays and good luck with the marathon training, im doing a bit of running, should really be more organized with it. But still nice to just be out there now and again, doing something good for me. Enjoy mate. Have you done a marathon before? cant remember if youve said.

Lovely to speak to you in chat Carl...your doing so well and you remain very positive!

I thought it was interesting when you said that you are in a way addicted to this site, I feel i am a bit too...the good thing is that we won't lose any money or wasted time on here. I certainly don't want those awful feelings of despair when in the gambling zone ever again and so if this site helps then that can only be a good thing.

Keep strong Carl and be proud of what you've achieved....well done

I AM ADDICTION

I start in small subtle promising many ways things,

I promise you enjoyment and pleasure beyond your wildest dreams,

I deliver guilt and despair more horrible than your worst nightmare,

I promise you power and courage,

I give you feelings of powerlessness & hopelessness,

I will force you to live in fear always,

I promise you relief and escape from all your daily problems,

I create for you greater problems than you ever imagined,

I promise you many friends but

I allow you only isolation.

I promise happiness but

I create much sorrow.

I will steal from you your dignity, your families, your friends, your children.your homes, your demons.your spirit & your life.....For love, freedom & happiness are impossible in my presence.

So NEVER UNDERESTIMATE ME

I am devious & manipulating,

I have no preferences as to who I pick as my victim, rich or poor, young or old, black ,white, yellow or red.

I have killed men, women and children,

I have no conscience.

So if you have met me, always be aware if you think you can beat me... that I will be gone from your life and all will be well again.

NEVER FORGET that I will always be there, waiting in the dark shadows, just around the corner.

I am very patient and I will laugh in your face if I can lure you into my evil world of hell on earth again.

day 97

just alittle reminder for me if i do get complacent i can come back to this an re read.

i am not in a complacent stage right now but you nver know when it can jump up and bite you and i feel the more barriers in place the better chance i have of beating this!!

HI Carl,

Always good to remind ourselves what we can go back to whenever we make the wrong choice that misery and despair is all there still waiting but we are not walking in that direction.

Head down and best feet forward.. Onwards my friend.
