i am sitting here on the eve of 100 days, and feeling good, feeling good cos tomorrow i will reach 3 figures and thats another milestone to knock off my list, iam now well into the longest i have been gamble free in my adult life and things are going well. feeling good because i chose to acknowledge this site when i needed to, feeling good that i have met some great people on here who have helped me on my journey, and hopefully in some way i have helped repay the compliment.
im off for a couple of days now so i hope you all have good weekend and keep plugging away, it is all worth it!!

I am SO proud of you and may I be the first to congratulate you on DAY 100 for tomorrow....that is amazing and you did it Carl. I just know you will continue to carry on this journey because you now have so many positives in your life that doesn't involve the evil gambling bug.
I know you have an exciting weekend ahead with your friends so have a great time...you so deserve it.
You don't realise how your support to others has helped so much...you have been fighting your own battle and still you offer support and I for one take my hat off to you...you have certainly helped me so much.
So tomorrow for your DAY 100...I shall have an extra LARGE cake for you lol

day 100, an i will be celebrating it this weekend cos its my mates birthday as well.when I started this journey I would never thought I would of made this but here I am, first off I passed the first challenge of not betting on first day of football season, then it was to get to 85 days, then the three figures.

A massive massive well done on reaching 100 days. A huge achievement. It really does scare me a little how many start a diary and do not get close to 100 days. However, you have proven you are in recovery for the long haul.
You have come a long way in those 100 days and are a real popular, valued member of this forum.
I found the large part of the first 100 days pretty tough going. I have just found the second 100 much easier and far more pleasant. I hope your next 100 can be equally as fulfilling.

well i move on to day 102
and had really good weekend, went out for my mates birthday last night and had few beers and i actually told him how bad my gambling got (he knew i bet but thought it was just why we watched the footy) and it feels like another weight has been lifted off my shoulders cos i now no longer have to lie to people to get through the days and cover up my addiction. anyway what with marathon training and not really drinking it hit me hard to wake up with a hangover so im gonna get off and sleep and be lazy cos tomorrows another day and the running can happen then

Congratulations Carl, didn't realise you'd got past the 100 day mark so soon, time flies, it really does. It was a big step to admit to your friend about your gambling, you can hold your head up high. None of us are perfect but you've realised this and are doing something to change your life for the better. It's a great feeling to not be going about lying to yourself and others about gambling. I was riddled with shame for years, really glad that's gone now. Take care Carl, I like you, am a lousy boozer. I'm pickin fights with strangers or crying on women's shoulders after a packet of wine gums.
