Hi wp

I think the fact you manage to keep gamble free with what you have to put up with shows immense strength and determination and I admire you for that. You show there are no excuses to slip up. I've only been without my lad for a few days and the gambling demon within me tried to entice me back. Thankfully I refused. Keep it going mate you give hope to me and many others around here.

All the best, Dave

Hey wp

Sounds like you are having a tough time at the moment. So sorry to hear about that. However, on the plus side, just think about how much tougher things would have been had you relented and gambled!? A victory for you I think.

Anyway, I am a strong believer that "bad stuff" doesn't happen persistantly to "good people". I have never met you but the support that you have offered me and many others on here makes me think you fall into the "good person" category.

Therefore, your luck WILL change and things WILL improve. Of that I am certain.

Keep it up and looking forward to hearing about your changes of fortune.

Hi wp.

Hey man it really looks like your Mr popular on here at the moment.Your on page one 24/7 and getting posts non stop.

I say - great.And i mean that.

You know - you deserve every bit of support you get mate.

To come so far as you have with everything that goes on around you in your personal life just blows me away wp.

You are an asset to this forum and judging by the posts you get on here you have a diary that others can and will look up to.

One day mate your life will fall into place just the way you want it to.And i mean life not material things.

Have a great Weekend.

Viggo.

with thanks to ade,t a g,davep and viggo since my last post.....there are 73 diary pages alone on this forum of which i reckon just 3 pages maximum would be able to say they are/have beaten this illness....there are also countless others who have introduced themselves on the new members page and disappeared....when i brought this to the attention of gamcare i was told to do it myself i.e" bump up" successful diaries and encourage others on the intro page to start a diary....it is difficult enough at the best times keeping our own diaries up to date so i can understand certain diaries frustrations within the forums and seeking alternative "arrangements"but if it wasnt for THESE pages i wouldnt be where i am today.....on a personal note i sincerely hope sabines "treatment" went well yesterday as someone battling a severe illness yet still attending meetings all round the country for us comp gamblers and posting here is im sure youll all agree truely amazing...today i wont bet tomorrow i wont bet....i will catch up with you all on a later date...have a great bet free weekend...we can do this folks đŸ™‚

HiWp again.

I agree with you totally about new members coming and going after one post.

There are certain diaries i do miss that really opened my eyes.

One of them was muppetys.

It was really interesting to get a view from the otherside. The person who doesn't gamble but is with someone who does.

I sometimes wonder how their life is now?

Anyway your doing great and i wish you all the best.I hope you know that when i said Mr popular i really did mean it in a good way!

Wasn't meant to sound sarcastic....i have too much respect and admiration for you for that.

Take care my friend!

As always, thanks for the support wp,i know your circumstances very well mate just as you are very aware of mine:),we are 2 of many people that have had literally everything stripped away from us because of gambling, only last week i was reading about a once very successful footballer who has just gone bankrupt because of his gambling(he is only 35),i just hope that others on here can arrest the addiction before they get in to the situation that so many of us do.

Your strength of character will see through to progressively better times for sure. Patience is the key. My thoughts here are aimed at me as well.. at all of us really. Onwards and upwards and forwards.. S.A
