Day 76 and i'm chilling out before work enjoying the cricket and hoping England will declare soon and go for the victory. I've got two more days in work and then I'm off new years eve which I'm looking forward to. I've been thinking about my finances for the coming month and due to booking a holiday they are tighter than usual which in hindsight I need to avoid. Its when money is tight that the urges flood back, I will be really relieved at the end of January when I get paid and have a healthy bank balance again. Other than that all is good and I'm positive, urge free and won't be gambling today!

Day 77 and I'm still going strong and making the right choices and its making life so much better! Making the daily choice not to gamble and accepting my problem will never go away is working so well for me. In the past I thought if I got to a certain number of days I would be cured but this clearly won't ever happen. All those dark days from the past need never come back its in my hands. So another calm day for me which will be spent in work this afternoon and evening.

Day 78 and had some stupid urges yesterday and this morning, I've got to see sense and think rationally at these times! I've got 150 on me today for my night out tonight and also for a food shop and some petrol. If I was to go to the bookies I would very quickly lose the lot and then spoil my day and I would be back to square one. I have to see sense and make the right choices one day at a time!

No bets today.

Hey Phil,

If your triangle was broken, you would have less anxiety, understand you need money for stuff, but there is a way of keeping it unobtainable til you need it,

Any ways Happy New Year's Eve my friend, and keep safe

Day 79 and I'm feeling surprisingly good in work despite drinking an awful lot last night. I've had no urges today and I'm in a positive mood. 2016 really can be a fabulous year if I continue to take the daily step to live alongside my addiction and beat it on a daily basis. I've got some exciting plans for this year and making that daily choice not to gamble will ensure they all fall into place!

A nice weekend off work for me and I'm currently spending day 80 chilling out enjoying the cricket. This afternoon I'm going to hopefully see a rare Tranmere win and then spending tonight and tomorrow with my girlfriend. Its lovely to be enjoying time with her without having to lie or panic about getting out to put a bet on. I remember previous girlfriends where I would have to make up lies so I could get to the bookies, or I would stress because they wanted to go shopping in an afternoon that I had planned on spending in a bookies. There are so many reasons not to gamble, I really do think of them when the urges come back and that scares me enough to ensure I don't gamble. Today there are no urges, today I will not gamble!

Day 81 and a very dull day so far, this weather has stopped me doing anything too much fun. But on the bright side another day without any urges and my healthy start to the new year is also going well. The rest of the day will be spent chilling watching super Sunday, the NFL and the big darts final.

No bets today!

Back in work today on day 82 after a pretty rubbish weekend off work, but at least one where I wasn't tempted at all. Its just under ten weeks until my holiday and my first week of dieting has gone really well. I hope by the time I fly out I am both clean from gambling and clean from junk food. But on the whole I can't make any long term plans,I just need to be taking things day by day. Things are going great right now.

Just a quick post before I head off to work, its day 83 and things are still going well. Simple things like money in my bank to pay my car insurance direct debit and fuel in my car today make this worthwile. It used to be such a stress to fuel my old car and keep up with insurance payments when I was gambling. I remeber many a time running on fumes or borrowing a fiver to get to work because I had blown all my money in a bookies. Not anymore, no bets today!

Yea Phil, to just be able to pay for stuff makes us feel chuffed, ridiculous I know, lol.

Fantastic going on 83 days my friend.

Day 84, a whole 12 weeks since I last placed a bet. In that short amount of time I have probably done more enjoyable things than I would have done in 3 years whilst gambling! That simple daily choice not to gamble rewards me in so many ways. Today there are no urges but my addiction will always be there and I need to stay alert to it!

No bets today!
