Two great comments thanks so much.
Its nice to now that people like you allainpo have been reading my diaries and progress over the last two years and yes everything you say is right.
I will keep my guard up and i wont let anyone down again.
Emily we have been on the same rocky road together and we now share a straight path towards a gamble free future.
all the bumps we had were awful at the time but its all lead us to this victory road.
again keep your guard up too and we will have a fantastic Christmas and a super start to 2017

41 days today.
My first counselling session is on Tuesday.
Really dont know what to expect as I know i wont be gambling again, and i don't really feel i need to talk about how much of an idiot I've been over the last 15 years.
Its what my family want and hopefully i come back feeling rewarded.

Waiting for my first session...
First session and second sessions finished.

Hi
yes I was apprehensive mainly through embarrassment but I'm finding them quite helpful.
The first session was mainly about getting to know me and now she is helping me open up to everything and how things are better and about not going back to it.
At the end of the day it wil help but only I can stop myself from gambling which i am doing

58 days today.
Huge developments in my life as in January i am going to work in Saudi Arabia for 2 months.
One of the worst things i will ever do ( except for gambling ) but we as a family so need the money so i have to take the opportunity.
3 sessions of counselling now and they are definitely helping. Helps me get things off my chest and discuss basically everything without being judged.
Looking forward to Christmas now, just getting the house sorted which is keeping me busy too.

Hi Mba , I'd just read your post to Tri and have to agree with you , Odaat commented the other night to one diarist how it seems to be a little quiet on the forum sometimes . I think as you rightly said if people seem to feel your going great guns then they'll tend to bypass you , which is abit of a shame as however well were all doing we still need that bit of back and forth occasionally . I'm as guilty as any of that very thing actually , as I tend to lock on to people that are new or struggling a little , so maybe " note to self " :)) .
There's still quite a few active members and many long term ones as well and I think it's always a shame that not more of them post to others or not very frequently anyway ? . ( Sorry ramble over ) ! .
Well done in your 58 day's anyway , your obviuosly back on track which is always nice to see and glad your getting something from the councilling , Is Saudi that bad ? ok there's the obvious drawbacks and I suppose it depends on what your having to do out there ? .
Anyway stay safe my friend and keep posting and I'll do the same and I'll make sure to drop you a note from time to time :)) .
Best wishes
Alan
Cheers Alan
Think you hit the nail on the head with your ramble haha.
I must admit i don't come on here as much as i used to but i tend to post on 3 or 4 other people's diaries, I'll have to check out yours.
I work as a marine electrician for Bae systems on british Navy ships so in Saudi i will be doin the same work on a saudi based British vessel.
its bein away from the family which im dreading but we are coming to terms with it.

Hi MBA,
Good to see that you've got a bit of distance between now and your last bet. From the tone of your recent posts you seem very determined which is great. Keep it going. Try to look at working away as a positive - presumably it will be lucrative for you, but also you'll get another 2 months gambling-free under your belt. Added to that I'm sure it will bring you closer to your family as you'll miss each other, and some time away from your everyday surroundings might just help you see things a bit clearer. Hope things work out for you.
Just read your post and well done on your progress to date, i have recently had a slip but am determined to keep on track. Its important to keep positive and you seem like your doing all the right things.
Keep going!
Hi MBA, Just been reading your diary and well done for your progress so far on tackling your addiction. It all sounds very positive and like you have come along way since where you was originally at. It's milestones once reached that you have something to proud of and gives more reason to never slip back in to your ways. keep up the good work and good look in Saudi. I bet that will be an experience.
Never realised its 60 days today.
Thanks people lots of really good advice and thoughts.
I think you're right saying it will probably do me well being away from my normal surroundings.
I'm more worried about how my wife and kids will feel as ive never really been away.
Anyway i have lots to crack on with so speak soon.
