Hi Ria and thank you for this latest instalment.
Wow, the whole time in the psychiatric unit seems a little dystopian... the way you're sedated to start, and gently brought round with hushed soothing voices and walls covered in inspirational quotes ... you certainly paint a picture...!
And also the kind of predicable response from your partner who realises, perhaps, that the grass isn't so green on the other side. That there's a price to pay when flattered by a passing fancy.
At this point, with you, as you say, having to game the system a little, I wonder what you're getting out of it; I like to think a bit of space and time from everything where at least you're safe and secure.
As you've said before you're about to return to psychiatric care and because you've had prior experience, you'll know what to expect and hopefully settle in nicely. This really is an opportunity for you to help your recovery.
Everyone, me, all at Gamcare, family, friends and the psychiatric care team all want the BEST for you. We really really do.
Looking forward to the next instalment and I like to think, as you're writing, you're also emptying your mind of all the c**P you've been putting up with.

How strange....I've just left a message for you on your diary ....great minds and all that!!!
I think that's exactly what I got out of the psychiatric unit....peace time to reflect without feeling the constant pressure of every day life. So if nothing else I certainly had the time and space to escape reality and just sit with my feelings for a while instead of covering them up with one addiction or another so I don't have to think about it all.
Anyway I'll leave it here and will write the next chapter later tonight.
