One of the oldest sayings in addiction is "if you go into a barber's shop often enough eventually you will get a haircut". You are doing so well it would be an awful thing for you to have a relapse. I was off gambling over 2 1/2 years and then relapsed since then the longest I have gone is 9 months. I can genuinely say things get worse should you go back. Being in a Casino I would say is dangerous. You are an inspiration to us all so we all want you to stay on track.

Hi Steve, huge congrats from me on the big 600 days!

We all need people like you on here to show the way. It's even comforting to know it isn't always easy for you & like ourselves you could self-destruct so easily. Sometimes I feel ashamed after so many days that I can be itching to gamble. But when I read diaries like yours I see it is the new "normal". Stay posting your thoughts as it really helps. Enjoy the day!! Suzy

Steve

Fella I second all that's written, recovery for me is earnt and you my friend have sought to bring dramatic change to your life to do so, consistently challenging yourself and never forgetting what brought you here.

Today I salute your continued abstinence.

Abstain and maintain

Duncs stepping forward never back.
