Such a big difference between being a problem gambler and an addict but much of the support and help is the same. I make sure i attend GA meetings, use counselling, keep the blockers in place, keeping my diary, etc. My family and friends are my rock. Honesty is not easy but its important for both them and myself.

Seems to me that a problem gambler is addicted to the process of placing a bet and what they get out of placing that bet. Just like everyone else in the GA room.

That can be a part of it CW. what makes gambling addiction complicated is the progression the illness can take. Yes we may have the same illness but there are degrees of sickness.

sure in the same way a person may have a burn that requires a little water on it and another person requires skin grafts.

I use the time for a bit of reflection. Not always good, but reflection none the less.
