What a day!

Well done in your continued efforts to successfully sustain from gambling. Im proud of you. Im wide awake at the min so thought I would right in your diary. Off work this week and havemy nieces wedding in Thursday so getting prepared for that!!

Day 290

A "noughty" day-celebrated with a cream cake! (and I wonder why the flab wont shift lol).

Nothing much else to report- looking forward to payday tomorrow. Unsure why, because I pay most of it out to bills! Strangely, I enjoy paying my debtors and seeing the balance decreasing- albeit very slowly.

I've got a couple of work events looming this week which'll be a wee change to the routine.

Sister'll be home tomorrow and looking forward to seeing her for a blether- we usually talk or see each other daily.

Phew!!!!! A day of mixed emotions 31/08/13. Thankfully, I've been too distracted to think about gambling today 🙂

Closing in fast on the 300 mark. That's really something special. Hope today is more easy going than it sounds like yesterday was. Take care.

No time to even think about gambling ..wow! That's fantastic !

In the early days I used to fret about regular postees when they went away but now I think ..good on ya! You are all living !

I'm a little jealous ..but in a cheering you on with whistles and flags kind of way ..I'm still clinging onto my security blanket but letting go of it bit by bit..lol ...

Day 294=42 weeks

Yesterday was great but cr** that it had to happen. I've alluded often to a life event last year but felt then that it was not my story to tell. Today, I've decided to share. Last year, my bestie's 15 year old son died of cancer. Yesterday was a memorial to his short life- a football tournament organised by his pals. It was a spectacular event organised by young people and culminated in a party at bestie's to celebrate his twin's birthday.

It is this event and my behaviour through his relatively short illness that's probably caused me most angst over the months. I spent time and money on gambling when I should have been there more for them. Yes, I regret the debt, but mostly I regret the time and energy that should've been better spent.

Yesterday was a great day, which my sons GF attended with me. We had time to laugh and cry as well as do a 1st for me and play football!!

I love my bestie as much as I could love any family member and wish there was more I could do to take some of the pain.

This is one of the most difficult but honest posts I've written. Unsure if I'll leave it but needed to write today.

Fantastic posts my dear...it is hard to put things like that down, but if you see it on black and white, it takes ur thoughts to different perspective. Don't delete it, you hold the memory for that great teenager....respect darling..

Now, just look ahead, you are changing, you got all the time in a world to spend with ur loved ones and show how much you care....no time for regrets, new life unfolding in front of you each day...grab it Irene, you are worth it...

got some remedy for ya for wee Paddy ! Your gonna love this one ...Porridge oats!! ..the good sturdy scottish stuff not that Ready Brek crapola ...

So make it into a poultice /gruel with a bit of water and pop some on..may need to bandage it round,,

Trouble with some of the " human " skin stuff is that we don't lick it off as doggies do ...I once slavvered on arnica cream only to find out it was toxic to dogs ..DOH!

Sudocream I think is zinc based but so long as he doesn't lick it off you may get away with it with a bandage round..

My Dots sometimes gets eczema and the vet prescribed this expensive cream..it was basically avena sativa (oats) with a bit of base mix...

Purple hair??? I'm loving this already ....more details please..lol xx
