Hello 2020nick

It's great that you've taken the first step on the road to recovery from your gambling problem.  It takes considerable courage to talk to your loved ones and be honest, so that's a really brave step and honesty is very helpful for recovery.  It sounds like you have been experiencing some physical symptoms, so do consider talking to your GP if you're concerned about these, or they continue. I am hoping that day two and subsequent days have felt a little better, it can be slow progress to start with, but things do usually get easier as time passes and you have more gambling free time under your belt.

If you haven't already, please consider practical blocks that you can put in place to prevent your access to online gambling, https://www.gamstop.co.uk/ is a free service that excludes you from all UK online gambling operators in one go, it can be used alongside blocking software https://www.gamcare.org.uk/self-help/blocking-software/

There are a number of support services that we offer here at GamCare, including free one to one treatment and daily chat rooms, please do call us on the HelpLine 0808 8020 133 or on our NetLine live chat service, 24/7 to find out about these and other services that may be able to assist in your recovery.

Wishing you all the best with stopping gambling and staying stopped,

Josie
