Hello everyone I'm Richard,it's 4.34am on19/7/2016 just finished my night shift at FedEx.went to my counselling session yesterday, just after I put 590 pounds on the online slots yet again won it from a 30 pound deposit,I'm on here because I don't know what else to do.ive been online gambling for the past 3 years and I've lost potentially £9000 with money I've won then put back again.only play online slots no sports betting or roulette or betting shops either,I've self excluded myself from 51 online sites and had 39 payday loans in the last 18 months, don't get me wrong I've won some big amounts Ie 1600 pounds from videoslots but always manage to put in back eventually.i don't have a debit card now,in debt by only 400 pounds.seeking help on here.i filled in the questionnaire on the national problem gambling clinic website and got a score of 22 out of 27.not good.i currently live in Stoke on Trent so I don't want to visit west London for rehab.any ideas???.

Welcome rik
Apart from rehab have you been told about group's like gambalers anonymous. There free and you should be able to find one in your area?
Sounds to me like your playing with borrowed money which doesn't end well
That's a lot of payday loans in a short period
Have you thought about handing your financial control over to a loved one for a while. And setting up some blocking software. There's a fairly new one which is free called gamblock that will prevent you getting on to the sites. Should the urge to gamble come calling.

Riksterone we must stop this madness. If we have no access to bankcards or cash its a good start.
Sinilarly to you iv just about used every single website going..have one alot ..(one day 7000) but 2-3 days later the 7k was gone...plus an overdraft and 3-4 payday loans but personal family friend loans ....even that didnt stop me. Think its day 3 for me only...can only approach this day at a time...will be some tough times ahead but i think each day theres a wee wee bit of light shining through that dark dark long tunnel

Hi Deano. You can download K9 blocking software for iPad - you just need someone else to set the password for you so you can't access it. Any blocks you can put in place only help things. You can do this, take it one day at a time. Good luck with your recovery.

Getting lucky? Or being offered the temporary return of a fraction of what you've spent?

You can't win because you can't stop.

Things would change if you follow the standard advice to keep the triangle broken and attend meetings and counselling. Luck has nothing to do with it. It's about your choices.
