Hi David welcome, and well done on reaching the first step of admitting you have a problem. This was hard for me, took me quite a while to admit to myself. I spent yesterday reading through the newbie forums and getting an insight into other people on here. The diaries part is also encouraging and the people here are understanding and helpful to one another. It's an odd feeling telling your dark secret to complete strangers but also in a way for me, was like a bit of weight lifted and I felt better just knowing am not alone.

All the best, lou

Hi Lou thanks for the message so how are you getting on ? This is very hard and I am trying so hard and I am so depressed. It's great to talk with someone with the same problem .

Hi David and welcome to the forum.

You will get lots of support and advice on here. I am struggling at the moment but have started 1-1 counselling through Gamcare so hopefully will begin to understand why this horrendous addiction has a hold on me.

Use all the tools you need. You have to be proactive in managing your recovery. It isn't easy but it can be done.

Take care. X
