Hi, I'm 44 and have gambled on an off since I was 17. This is the first time I have ever shared this with anyone that I have a problem. I've just self excluded myself from a online site I've played on for the last 2 years. It used to be casino's but then I got into playing online. I want to try and block my card so I can't use it for any on line purchases. Does anyone know if a bank can block a card for this
Hi City1911
Yes you can block your card for use online, I did this a few years ago and I couldnt make anyonline purchases whatsoever weather it was related to gambling or not.
You may have to go into branch to do this stating your reasons why as I had to do this.
Hope this helps and good luck in your recovery,
Scambling
Thank you City1911 and Scambling for this info - I hadn't realised this was an option.
City - welcome to the site and I hope you will find lots of good advice, support and understanding here. Good that you have self-exluded. Have you also installed blocking software e.g. K9?
Best wishes for your continued recovery.
Joanna
