From government assistance and my parents. I relate to a lot of what you wrote. I also binge, chase wins, and keep going until the money is gone.
Relying on a future stop date feels risky for me, because the urges usually come back. What helps more is putting barriers in place now, like self exclusion, blocking sites, and limiting access to spare money.
