Am a 35 year old male all started when I was about 8 started at fruit machine at the arcades stayed close to them so was there everyday always chasing a few pound to play them then as I got older and a job about 17 started on bookies dogs horses you name it I would bet on it then the fobt to which I still play today as well visits to the casinos always roullete I think I am the master at it always thinking i know best but I know nothing so every wage I got would be spent in the bookies and that went on for years then I met my partner had three kids thought it would change me but it hasn't am stil at it today for a while I got into a fair bit debt which I couldn't afford to pay back with my job so I got into stuff I shoudnt have but felt it was the only way to sort it all out any I caught and arrested and was sent to jail for 45 months so I've spent all my money got the jail and my family had to do it all for themselves till I got out recently I thought to my self when I was away that was me with the gambling but it ain't back to my old self letting everybody down with the gambling I know I have a really big problem with the gambling I have done it all my days but don't know how to stop wish I could but if I don't get help soon will defenetly loose my family and everybody that has stood by me don't know where to go or what to do needs to change thanks for listening

Hi Problem man,

You've come to the right place for help.

I think you need to seek counselling about your urge to gamble so i suggest you contact Gamcare online to arrange it. You could also think about going to GA meetings. Put your finances in the hands of a family member. That way you cannot do anything about the urges.

Self exlude from local bookies and casinos. Block online gambling by downloading K9 (free) and get someone else to set the password.

I have gambled for years and been in all sorts of horrible situations. By taking it one day at a time I've been free of gambling for 35 days. You seem very determined to give up gambling and you too can feel good again.

Ive seen your other post so have put this reply on that one.
