I'm proud to say I'm nearly 4 months GF. I am still struggling with the fact I lost money but for today I haven't gambled. I have worked out by July 2nd my overdraft will be cleared, by Feb my sister will nearly be paid back and in 3 years I will have no debt whatsoever. It's hard thinking 3 years but how would I be 3 years if I still continued.
I can't wait to get there. I won't give up!

Hope you are all well xx
Huge well done on nearly 4 months GF, that’s an incredible achievement and you deserve to feel proud of yourself. Stopping gambling is one thing, but stopping while facing the emotional and financial aftermath takes real strength, and you’re showing that every day.
In regard to the debt 3 years can feel like a long time, but you’re absolutely right  if gambling had continued, things would look very different. The fact you’ve already mapped out a future where your overdraft is cleared, your sister is nearly paid back, and your debt is gone shows how much progress you’ve already made.
Recovery isn’t just about stopping gambling  it’s about rebuilding your life in a way that feels safe and hopeful again. You’re already doing that, step by step.
Keep going, keep leaning on the support around you, and keep celebrating the wins, no matter how small they seem. You’re moving in the right direction and it’s inspiring to read.
Hope you’re doing well too.
