I'm proud to say I'm nearly 4 months GF. I am still struggling with the fact I lost money but for today I haven't gambled. I have worked out by July 2nd my overdraft will be cleared, by Feb my sister will nearly be paid back and in 3 years I will have no debt whatsoever. It's hard thinking 3 years but how would I be 3 years if I still continued.

I can't wait to get there. I won't give up!

Hope you are all well xx

Hiya

This is such a positive post and I hope you are really proud of yourself. I can so resonate with the idea train that you are saving money today and trying not to think about the past losses. One other thing to bear in mind is the amount of time you are not wasting today.

I guess from your post that you are going and I have to say that you have a chance to put this all behind you. I'm on day 142 gf so I'm slightly ahead but so far behind you as I commend you for doing something in your life a lot earlier than me. I can tell you that the chaos and resulting carnage gets worse and worse and worse. I have no idea what could have made me give up earlier in my life but I guess you are much stronger and determined than I was. Well done and ain your sights at that six month milestone, one day at a time.

You have called yourself lonely on your username. Have you been to the chatrooms on here or been to any meetings in person or online ? That sense of community and being with people who understand is an amazing part of recovery.

Hi there.

Wrll done and congratulations on all your hard work so far!👏👏👏. It will most definitely pay off if you continue down this road 👌💪.

I would advise to just remain concentrated on the positives you are doing, day at a time. The rest will then just fall into place. Time is flying by us all, however, it is so important for us people on here to try our best to remain “in the present” and concentrate mainly on this. Like I said, the rest will follow!

Hope you have a lovely weekend.

Pink Lady 🩷🍎.

A bit of recovery medicine every day goes a long way. Addiction doesn't take a day off and neither can i
