today i admitted to my wife,mom and step dad i have a problem.
i am scared of how much debt i have got myself in.
i am 25k in the red due to online gambling.
i am 29 and have a baby on the way i need to sort my life out before it gets any worse.
i know with there help i can get through this but i am terrified

You have taken great big steps by recognising you have a problem and that you need help and it’s wonderful that your family are supportive. However, often with gambling addiction it is necessary to have on-going professional support and guidance in order to overcome it.
We provide advice over the phone and can refer you to 1-2-1 counselling and it is free. There are also group meetings run by Gamblers Anonymous where you can meet other people in a similar situation or others who have overcome the problem and can support you and inspire you.

Have you made sure you can't gamble again? Self exclude from any sites or bookmakers, use blocking software where you can, make sure you're making it very difficult or impossible to get access to gambling.

Sorry to hear about your troubles. You have came to the right place. You have taken the first steps to getting yourself sorted so be very pleased about yourself.. I know that might not seem possible right now but stay possitive. Take advice from us currently in the same or similar situations.
One major point I need to make to you is... That 25k is not your money no longer it is paddys or williams or whoever... they sucked us all in and we have paid the price.
If you try winning that back, you may get even more in debt... you may win occasionally but as we all know but dont think about is the bookies odds are in favour of the bookies... However you bet.... roullete 35/1 should be 36/1.. 0 means all section bets lose..... greyhound average odds 3/1-4/1 in a 6 field race.
Eventually every person placing bets will lose... law of averages and bookies poor odds = lose
