Hi Helly

Welcome to this amazing site which can help you change your life.

Can I ask what sort of gambling you do and if you have any blocks in place yet ?

Also, have you tried the chatrooms on here and speaking to advisor as well

Hi I use online slots so I've had gamstop in place for years so the sites I've used aren't uk ones I have the gamban app on my phone and tablet. I have spoke to advisor but I was feeling really positive about stopping I felt I would be ok so I stopped I only had the assessment not sure it was for me I just need to take control back

Hi Helly

I can only talk for myself but I've thrown myself into recovery. The advisors on here referred me for counselling free of charge which has been amazing. For me, putting in blocks between me and betting was one thing but I needed to stop wanting to gamble which I work on every day and is working. Gambling is the so called solution but it's not the problem. Working to a better mindset stops you wanting to gamble. I do that through counselling, GA and online zoom meetings. Research, gamcare and Evive

Hi Helly

I would suggest clicking the speak to someone bottom right and talk to the advisors. If you can get referred for addiction counselling a lot of what you would learn will help with the grief side. Not all of it but it will help.

Well done Helly, I've heard that's a great book. For me I didn't just want to stop gambling, I wanted to stop wanting to gamble. I'm sure that book is helping you on that road
