Hi im new to this never used one of these before. I have a gambling problem im 24 years old it started about 6years ago. I use to just go to the bookies and put ВЈ5-£10 on football accas and i use to win quite abit. I ended up going on the roulette machines and this escalated for me thinking it was easy money. I then started losing alot especially online and racked up 16k worth a debt with payday loans etc im literally just finishes these loans in may next year. I dont go on the roulettes anymore but i do find myself betting alot on the football and horses. I am football mad so i watch every football gme on tv when i can. As soon as i see the betting adverts on tv it makes ne wanna put a bet on. I need help to stop. I really dont think going to a gamblere annoymous meeting would work for me. Any help would be much appreciated

Hi Jamie

Welcome to the forum and thank you for posting.

You have had some difficult years with your gambling and increasing debts. Its good to hear that you will be finishing your payments in May next year. However if you need any further assistance with debts you could try contacting a debt agency www.nationaldebtline.org

It really helps that you recognised your trigger is watching gambling commercial on television. Maybe using the commercials for a coffee break or changing the channel during adverts would help. It's something you could have a think about, you may have a different idea that you feel might work more effectively.

If you would like to talk things over privately with someone our one to one counselling service is free. http://www.gamcare.org.uk/support-and-counselling/face-face-counselling/what-counselling

You can also call and speak to one of our Advisers on 0808 8020 133 for help and support.

Kind regards

Cade
