Hi Elvis

How about trying to fit this into your life

Wake up and say the Serenity prayer. If you aren't religious just read it and try to practice it

Then meditate for ten minutes. Search for guided meditation on youtube

Then write down 10 things you are grateful for. This is all from GA and the 12 steps but it really works and sets the day up

Go to work and try and talk to people. if you go and buy a coffee don't just order and say thanks. Try and talk to the person serving. Just mention a couple of things to strike up a short conversation. This is good for dopamine and connects you after the isolation of gambling, the secrets and the lies

Make sure you have a healthy lunch if you don't already. If there is time before the kids get home then go for a walk. Try and do 10k steps per day if you can but it's quite difficult if you don't have time. When you walk try and breathe through your nose and out through your mouth. Just walk and look around you. Don't have headphones in just walk and observe nature and buildings etc

Try and minimise the use of your mobile. Don't have it in your pocket all the time just leave it on the side and don't check it all the time.

Afternoon or evening, watch a gambling addiction story on youtube. Work through the Addicted recovery channel and then move onto The Modern Meeting.

Join GA if you can. There are in person meetings on their website and try and go to your local one each week. If you can't go in person, then go online to one of the ones on gamblersinrecovery.

Make sure you have all the blocks in place, gamban, gamstop, moses, sense and bank card gambling block. Reduce the daily withdrawal limit on your card.

Wake up next day and try and repeat the above. Each day work on that day only. Try and leave the past you talked about on the chatroom behind, don't forget it but don't leave in it. Don't worry about the future, you can't make any difference to that by worrying. Just concentrate on today and being the best you can. Do service to yourself by working on your recovery which isn't going to be easy and do service for your family and friends by being kind and loving to all.
