So after a second relapse i've been five days without a bet. It wasn't a lot of money that i gambled, but it's a slippery slope to that dark place where addiction and gambling is all that's important in your life.

I am no expert, but if your head tells you to gamble, run a mile! Also, put EVERY block in place that you can. I am talking ban yourself from every bookie, online site, casino, bingo hall, got a partner? get a joint account for them to monitor your spending or completely hand over all financial control.

Id rather be embarrassed for a short period of time and talk about my gambling than be a poor depressed man all my life. It certainly takes a bigger person to admit that they have an addiction.

Finally, if you're very impulsive like myself or over think, don't be ashamed to go to your GP and get a reveral to a physiatrist or antidepressants.

I wish each and everyone of you the best in your recovery.

Pete
