hiya Dunc...thanks for support there on my diary....just a crappie day and spats with two pals brought on by my own sickness and feeling overwhelmed.....

So I did what any rational person would do and used heavy hurtful sarcasm and a lot of swearwords and basically took off .

Not feeling great now hence not being able to sleep but realising that i still have so much work to do on recovery still.

I always feel i'm not working hard enough on myself and need to do more so I can deal with life and people better.

Take care Duncs...and got Hovis' cyber cuddle there ...Dotty snugged up beside me xxxxx

morning diary. On route to work got a busy weekend ahead jam packed with bookings and a wedding party today on top so full speed ahead, I am armed with a mass of duncans doughnuts to see the staff get through the day with a bounce in there step, something i dont need the sugar rush for these days, had a good nights kip and have a fire inside and my trusty stick in hand to face the day head on. I have had a quite emotional week this week, have found myself overwhelmed by peoples kindness and it is a sense i have had buried deep within for too long, i used to put a cold front on most things and really could not remember listening to anyone. Today i am attentive and genuinly intrested which in full i hope will make me and my world a better place, the skin fits a little more today and through my drive and a few doughnuts lol i am sure it will be snug soon. Duncs compulsive gambler NO BET today.

morning diary. Thanks for all your kind words folks i am honoured to receive such support. Yesterday went well, actually better than well, boosted by the power of the doughnut we delivered! And to boot my eldest son came and washed pots, and over our de-brief pint he told my number 2 chef that he had seen me at the stove before but only whilst i was at it and now he really can see what i can do! Wow. My heart pounds today i am on route for another busy one but i know we will achieve and all this folks because i can see that gamble free duncs is living! And to wake up wanting more of life warts and all is what arresting my addiction has given me and i grab it two handed. And to ice the cake i am having tuesday night as my bank holiday and will wine and dine my inspiration in life my beautiful, caring, funny best friend my wife. Duncs striding on NO BET TODAY.

morning diary. My question for myself today is can you ever have too much of a good thing. Well as a compulsive gambler at it there was a constant spanner in the works whether even winning brought its own troubles normally just more punting a the cycle of lies it found. Today no i can not have enough of a good thing- family good, work good, health(through 12 weeks no smoking)good, ga good and gamcare great! And place to gain more armoury for the fight to remain gamble free and foremost a place to be inspired! To one and all keep posting and reading it really helps to aid in my quest to live a happy forefilling life just for today NO BET. Tomorrow that reflection will smile back and the air will smell a bit sweeter. Duncs stepping forward never back.

Morning Dunc

Life is great without gambling and can only get better.

But i think you are correct when you say we need to armour ourselves against a slip.

Enjoy the rest of your day,

gazza

Hi Duncan,

First time I have posted to you but have been reading. Your diary is impressive. You are a shining light amongst people on this site and a very valued member. You take time out to communicate with people who need help and that is to be admired. Also a very big well done on your recovery so far, long may it continue. Never get complacent and you will be just fine.

Best wishes mate, IanB.

Morning diary. 15 weeks bet free, the only decision I have to make today is were to dine tonight, which when I was at it would not have been a choice I was making the choice was to lie to be able to punt. Tonight will mark the first of many more nights were I hope to enjoy the company of my rock. Today our eldest has sent off his ucas for uni and UEA is his first choice and to boot today the tickets for our steam fair trip in early september will be booked. So in all my life improves more and all because today NO BET.

duncs stepping forward never back.

Thanks to all of you people and your ongoing support BE PROUD ALL.
