I hope that day went well, however just started reading your next day's entry lol... The first part sounded splendid, nothing better than your missus cooking for you, especially when you been cooking all week! It does not matter how good a cook you are, a meal cooked by somebody else, even with the same ingredients tastes soooo much better! Cause you didnt have to cook it! lol

300+ day's now, good good job there I say, So close to the year mark. I am sure it will be surpassed, and a new year mark to entail. My wishes always Dunc's and keep doing what you do best (But at least let your missus cook some for you too)!

Evening diary

Did not make a post yesterday as I got soaked to the skin riding to work and after donning my wet clothes, got even more soaked riding home!!! And to boot our boiler packed up !! So got in to catch fresh meat and then snuggled up with my sarah and our four legged hot water bottle!!

Today got soaked again on way in, a canoe would have been a better moad of transport !! Tonight the rain relented horray!! And our boiler repaired so I got a super soak in a hot bath!!

And have enjoyed my fire being stoked here, gamcare is truly an inspirational place.

Thanks for all your kind words they are so inspiring.

Today I knocked out our 500 odd mince pies we will need for our first few xmas functions, which start with a party of 91 on friday, I cant wait, we did a cook off of the menu yesterday in full, adjusting dishes were needed, we are now ready, me I am proud, a selection of dishes that go the extra mile, all with a wow factor.

The efforts I make will hopefully be enjoyed by all who dine, a footprint of good forefillment for me and my brigade.

My mantra "always be prepared" should serve us well.

And all made possible because I today gave my all,i want to achieve the best results possible.

No bet for me, the odds simply not high enough !!!

At any price!!!!!!

Heyyyy! Sorry to hear you have been getting soaked 🙁 but glad to hear you got the boiler fixed and managed to have a nice hot bath! Since 'getting back on the wagon' there is nothing I love more than a good hot soak with a book, you just can't beat it, especially on these cold nights! Here's to snuggling up and staying inside where it's warm and cosy 🙂 and doesn't cost a dime xxx

Evening diary,

A night of relaxing on my couch, before tomorrow's start of my xmas functions lol I do believe it comes earlier each year!!! Soon it will be sprouts and braised red cabbage on the summer menus lol.on a serious note I love cooking even more at this time of year, real cooking from the soul.

Another gamble free day for me, funny I don't even pass a shop on route to work, I actually could not spend a penny even if I wanted to, not a single place, well there is a sawmill!! Wonder if they have a shop!!

Enough waffling on!! On to more pressing matters we have our Womble back!!!!!

My other news is our number two whippet is on its way to pompey on sunday, cant wait!! Mind you judging by the amount of couch number 1 whippet leaves, next weeks posts may come from the floor!!! Lol.

Just for today my choice made this possible, tommorrow I know will be better for it.

Morning Diary,

Well yesterday went very well at work,one or two little things to tweek this week ahead of the next round,but by and large a huge sucess and a room full of happy diners.

To boot I got through a 15 hour day of which I did not stop once and felt great,today I slept till I woke up,a rare lay-in 7.30!! LOL

I woke to the forecast rain and look forward to riding to work later through it!!

when I woke this morning my thoughts were to phone my butcher and congratulate him,whilst at it my first thought would have been,can I be the first one in the bookies,or how can I get out of the hole I dug yesterday!!!!

Today those thoughts dont haunt me,a feeling I will just for today honour,by not taking those odds!! Still to short,at any price!!

A massive well done to Christine on completing a continued 7 months in recovery,something which fuels my fire,desire to "abstain and Maintain"

(Hope the dog is coming in the next couple of days, and tuesday the doc is sorting me out as he has all my test results!! They phoned my Sarah yesterday to say I had to see him!! on thing is for sure I found my heart is's pumping!!!!!)
