Got word back from my final interview today, from where I used to work as agency staff. Again, I passed all the criteria and even though I scored 6’s across the board (the scale goes from 1 - 7), 7 being absolutely outstanding, I found myself still being placed on yet another reserve list!🤬.
If the truth be known I don’t really want to work there again after the way I was treated/bullied by my line manager but it’s down the road and a means to an end 🤨.
You mentioned April Stuart and so I am just hoping for my DBS clearance to come through with an education agency I am signed up to. Apparently, they were very impressed with my C.V and previous qualifications and work experience in the field I was in. With this in mind, they said that once my DBS comes through, they could place me in a school locally helping children/students with behavioural/learning needs - I did this for 20 years as a Probation officer/Programmes tutor so watch this space!🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏.

I wanted to ask you something. It's not a criticism and you know that because we are friends.
You reply to many topics on here and I hope you know the amazing support you have given me and others. You mentioned your relapses a lot and I know they remind you not to be complacent and no doubt how they felt, as a dark place you don't want to go back to but I hope you don't feel they define you and can be at peace that they were just blips. Only blips. I could only do this with your support. I look at your current GF number not the previous one and that gives me hope. I think you are amazing and so should you

Regarding my last 2 relapses. Be rest assured that they most definitely do not define me. I rarely think about them other than when I read/respond to others on here who have relapsed themselves. It wasn’t so much me lapsing that I was disappointed in (although I do not want to gamble or have any inclination to). It was more to do with the amount of money I had wasted that could have gone to so much better use 🙈.
Given that my glass is normally half full (I feel like the past few weeks however, it has been tipped over by every other person that has walked past it), I am quite good at “moving on” in a positive light and not dwelling on what I have done/no longer have. I much prefer to think about what I can do going forward, what mini goals I can put into place/achieve and continue to be grateful for small mercies and having the best loving and supportive family👌.
I consider myself to be tenacious and a survivor and whilst the past few weeks have really tested my stress and anxiety levels, I continue to take each day as it comes, thank God at the end of the day for what I am grateful for and continue with my mantra:
“Tomorrow is a new day”🙏.
I hope you are feeling much better today stress wise and I also hope that this will continue into your weekend with your family.

I have just responded with a long message, only for this site to not be responding and logging me out, losing the lot!🤬🤬.
The short version therefore:
- My 2 lapses most definitely do not define me - it was more to do with the money I had lost/wasted when this could have been used for better things.
- I am tenacious and I am a survivor.
- I continue to thank God at the end of my day for what I am grateful for.
- I continue to live in hope and take each day as it comes.
- I continue to set myself positive mini goals.
- I continue with my mantra - “Tomorrow is a new day”.
Thank you so much for all your support too 💙. I hope you are feeling less stressed after your recent ordeal and I hope you have a lovely weekend spending it with your family 🙏.

As you know, I have passed two interviews and met the criteria for each, one of which I scored pretty high! I think they are just getting their act together and having that list of people in reserve for when more vacancies become available and then they can just do blocks of training with the newbies! Watch this space. The Civil Service are known for their extremely long and drawn out recruitment process!👎. The first interview I passed for and got put on the “reserve list” the closing date for that was last July!! This latest one, the closing date was for last November so do you see what I mean?
I am also still awaiting DBS clearance in the hope that I can work in local schools with children/pupils with behavioural/learning needs. Again, this is another long and drawn out process 😔.
I have put in another two applications but again, I am thinking it will just be a “no” based on A.I sifting which I think is just not the best way of finding the right candidate but hey ho.
For now, I continue to pray and see what each new day brings 🤞🙏🙏.
