Back to the begining again

Thanks skyblueblue, i intend to keep going. Day 43 today, going to keep myself busy today , that will keep me away from temptation
As i get further down this road, the temptation to gamble is there bugvso is the resolve to stay away from the slot machines, its great to have money in my pocket and not to be lining the pockets of teddys or nobles amusements.

Day 44 - a busy day workwise should not have no chance to gamble, the same with every day this week. If I get through to Sunday I will have made it to my first target of 50 days.

Another day completed, not thought about gambling or smoking at all but to be fair been too busy with work all day.
Same again tomorrow

Day 49, another busy day with work and stuff today, should not have any opportunity today.
If i make it till tommorow it will be my first target smashed.
Feeling quite positive.

Once today is over with, it will be 50 days gamble & smoke free.
Maybe time to reflect on why I have gambled in the past, what leads me to gamble & smoke and how to continue to stay smoke & gamble free.
I will need to set myself another target & a few more goals.
Starting to feel more normal everyday that passes and self confidence is coming back, more & more as the time pases.
Just to remember not to get too complacent as that is when the thoughts can just appear in my head and i think why not have a punt it won't hurt to have a quick ВЈ20, but it doesand it's never just £20

Day 50 completed, thats my first target smashed, new target set to new years eve; another 27 days.

Day 53, still going strong, not had much chance to gamble or smoke as been busy with work

Well thats another day wrapped up, today would have been the type of day i gambled, early finish from work & afternoon in amusements playing the slots, but although the idea entered my head, i didn't act on it and stayed at home to do some paperwork.
Need to keep my guard up and not get too complacement.
Anyway 53 days gamble & smoke free.

Thanks for the comment lulubobs. I'm getting there, but i have just started to realise that no matter what I will always be a compulsive gambler, the only thing that is differenf is that i will be an gambler that abstains, if that makes any sense.
Well day 54 today, a few errands to run today, a few little jobs to complete and then another afternoon with the paperwork.
Self confidence is returning more with every day that i don't gamble. The losses still hurt but that's what they are lost money, will never get that money back, but i will loose no more.
Looking forward to a bot of a spending splurge when i get to my next target (new years eve)

Day 55 today, feeling positive, its going to be another day gamble & smoke free.

Day 55 completed, felt c**P most of day must be coming down wi summat.
Will be 8 weeks tomorrow since i gambled but the urge to gamble has been strong today, but i have resisted.
Hopefully will be feeling better tomorrow and have another day gamble free
