Well d day is here, first time i will have had a drink since stopping smoking and gambling.
Not sure if i can be arsed to get drunk, as the need to start 2017 with the 70+ days gamble and smoke free under ny belt is greater and more beneficial than getting wasted.
Thinking just go out, have a few steady drinks, summat to eat and get an earlier train back or just go with flow and stay out till the urge to smoke/ gamble gets too much and do a runner.
Hopefully today is going to be another smoke & gamble free day.

Well went out all day yesterday on sauce and managed to stay away from the fruit machines and not have a cig, so my next target of 77 days is on track.
Feeling good but cannot let complacency set in.

Well starting the new year gamble free is a good feeling, feeling positive about keeping it up all year.
Set my next target at 100 days, day 78 today completed, the urge to play the slots has been absent the last few days hope it keeps away.

Well thats another day completed, don't know why but it feels like it's starting to get easier, no real urges to gamble or smoke.
Just feeling of remorse of the amount of time and money I have wasted on this horrible addiction.

Just got to remember not to get too complacement and remember the feelings of dispair/discust when I had been on a all day bender on the slots and lost a load of money & time

Another day notched up gamble & smoke free, went into a local town earlier today for business appointment and passed one of my old stomping grounds without any thought of entering.
Hopefully starting to beat this addiction

Thanks for that sorrygorry and the same to you.

It will be 12 weeks now since I last smoked/gambled and hopefully it will carry on for the rest of my time. I am now getting to point where I usually relapse so i can not get too complacement.

But so far this year i havd not had any urges or thoughts to play the slots. The only thing i feel lately is discust of the amount of money and time i havd wasted over the past 20+ years of gambling, but hopefully i have kicked, what has so far been a habbit of a lifetime.

Another day notched up, no real urges to gamble but for some reason i have been thinking and having random urges for a cigarette, don't know why and i have managed to ignore the urges.
Busy week ahead so should not have any chance to gamble.
