Day 9

A tonne of money left my account today but I didn't feel bad about it as I was paying people off who were good for lending me the money in the first place.

I haven't had any real urges either, it's just amazing to think what you can achieve financially when you don't gamble

Well done Sam, you have taken a giant step by starting a diary and setting up those payments. You should be proud of yourself for what you have done, just take it one day at a time, what is gone is gone but you can affect the future.

I really appreciate it paulds I think you feel lost when battling this and struggle to find what's right but I feel that paying off debt will lift a lot of weight. And once I'm past the loans I feel I could never go back

Day 10

It just shows how fast time goes when I'm back here already updating my diary!

Had a hard shift at work but it's all good! I seem very career focused at the moment and as long as I stay away from gambling the money will sort itself.

I continuously try not to let the past get the better of me but as time goes by it gets easier. I will continue this diary even if I feel I'm through it all!

Day 11

Can't believe how fast this is going but I will never take this addiction for granted as it can always creep up on me!

Had a smooth shift at work and a relaxed evening where I cooked for myself and enjoyed a fine bottle of wine. Was meant to have a girl over but just didn't feel like it unfortunately.

Day 12

just a straight forward day at work really. With doing split shifts and 5 days a week its pretty easy to stay from gambling. time goes fast this way aswell so in around 3 weeks ill be half way to paying my friends /family off

thank you kindly dontchase, it is crazy how many times how ive tried to quit. even if you hit a years theres always a chance of going back. but this is my first time ever doing a diary so i wont get a chance to be complacent. upon hitting 100 days it will be nice to look back and see how far ive come.

all the best

Day 13

A very quiet and slow day at work with the break in the middle. Im starting to learn alot at work and its nice to have something steady. though the times i reflect on gambling it hurts but some wounds take longer to heal!

Thanks buckeroo, it's been very damaging to say the least and it completely ruined life for me. I just want to stay away from it and lead a normal life,

Day 15

I had my 7th day of work in a row, which I didn't really mind as i didn't spend a penny the whole time. I have enough to comfortably live on and I have plenty of things to keep me entertained for free! But I'm happy and that's the main thing!

Day 16

I had a well earned day off and took it easy to be fair. I cleaned through the flat, did some shopping and worked on my to do list. I also grabbed an early night at the end of it. I'm strongly considering chipping away at my loan in big amounts. there's nothing I want to buy and I cant wait for that feeling when its finally clear. its sad to think I would have a loan over my head for a period of 10 years.

but in hind sight if im not gambling I will able to save a lot too
