Day 36.

Drove past the bookies i used to spend all my time in earlier. Stopped briefly outside and looked through the glass window to see the usual suspects in there. Felt sorry for them as I'm sure they have the same struggles as me. No urges at all to go in whilst I was outside, just felt regret that I have spent so much time and money in there.

Hi Red,

Well done on 36 days,

A gamcare friend on here Ade, said, it's ok to look back as long as we don't stare 🙂

Keep strong and stay focused.

Suzanne xx

Ive done the same Red... feel sorry for all those stuck in there ploughing cash and being away from family. It's grim. Well done on driving past.

Thanks for the comments folks.

As I sat outside I couldn't think of anything worse than being inside. I just hope this feeling stays with me.

Day 42 almost complete.

Ive been doing a lot of reading on here in recent days. I can't explain how much this site is helping me stay strong and determined to never gamble again.

My next target is 50 days and then after that the new year. I find setting myself relatively short targets helps.

All the best to everyone else on here tackling their demons. Stay strong and gamble free.

45 days.

Had a great few days away with my amazing wife. Done some Christmas shopping and eaten and drunk well. Still spent a fraction of what I would have blown if I had been gambling!

49 days and almost at my target of 50.

Still picking up the pieces financially and will be doing for some time but it at least feels like I've got some control back.

Next short term target is the new year.

Thanks for your comments GT.

Red1 is a reference to the football team I support but can see why you may have thought it refers to roulette.

Day 54 today and looking forward to a gamble free Christmas.

I have to say I do miss the occasional football bet but as for the fobt's I hope I never go near one of those things ever again.
