Day 23- Good morning all, feeling good on day 23. I will do something/help someone today in some way or another. Day 1 of making sure I go out of my way for someone. Another busy day at work today, so at least my mind is oocupied. 🙂 Coffee in hand, breakfast scoffed and ready to smash day 23! I've spent the last couple of night on here and online looking at real life stories of people who have mentally, physically, finicially hit rock bottom and wow has this given me the confidence to know I can do this, get out of debt, get my saving funds built up and be happy. Wishing you all a lovely gf day. C x

A good morning so far, started off with something so simple, but made me smile. Rubbish traffic lights not working again on my walk to work this morning. However, a lovely guy stopped (even thought a lot of traffic behind him) waved me past and gave me the biggest smile! I had a little skip in my step the restof the walk. Because I know, if that was a couple of months ago I probably wouldn't of even thanked the lovely guy because my head was in a selfish, me me, me cloud. I thanked him, waved and smiled right back. Simple things that can boost your day! That's my day so far. 🙂 Cx

Thankyou for dropping by!! Your story seems similar to mine. Pesky online slots!! I would never dream of putting real cash in a machine...how strange is that? Well done, look forward to seeing you beat this x

Absolutely agree Lady H, I wouldn't dream of putting cash into machine like I do in the slots...it's like it's not real money...until your check your account balance and I've had many sick nights through guilt, shame, stress etc. And I don't want to put myself through it all again!! Life truly is so precious and I'm making myself remind myself everyday! Cx

Day 23-evening. Just sat down, busy, but productive day at work. I've just sat here thinking about how much time hit hair money, but precious time I've wasted. I used to come home from work, sit with my computer and gamble sometimes until the hours of the morning...how did I thin that was ok?! I'm mean really, hours and hours wasted!! I'm not dwelling on that at all, like I've said before the money and time has gone now and all I can do is make sure I don't get myself into that situation again! It's a lovely evening, so a little walk Planned, back to sort work things out, read abit more of my book abbearly night. It truly is amazing how a good nights sleep makes your feel! My one piece of niceness today ( I promised myself I'd so something/go out of my way for one person everyday) A young girl, who I work with had a very heavy weekend...hen do gone a little too far I think! 😉 However, bless her she wasn't in a good way, therefore was falling behind on her work and getting, stressed and upset. I gave up most of my lunch to help her get on top of it and reminded her we've all been there and a good sleep tonight and she'll hopefully be brighter tomorrow. She couldn't thank me enough, bless her. I know that if that would have happened a few months ago, the selfish person I was wouldn't of even noticed she was struggling and I'd of gone off on my dinner to gamble or work out sums at how I'm going to pay my bills at the end of the month etc. This has made me feel really good and all it cost was a little bit of my time. Take it easy everyone. Have a lovely, gamble free evening. Off for my walk now 🙂 Cx

Hi Charley

Thanks for your kind words on my diary 🙂 the debt management app I've got is just called dept management. It's the first app you come to on the App Store. 79p, bargain when u consider what we've thrown away on gambling! It's really been helpful for me to visually see a plan that I'm in control of. If like me the urge to gamble still comes to try and 'win' back loses (which we all know will never happen! Cannot win cos we cannot stop!) it's great so you feel like there's a realistic plan. Your 1 good deed a day thing sounds lovely, a really great way to build self esteem again. Of u haven't already looked in to it, gamcare also offer free counselling sessions which I found invaluable. Good luck and stay strong 🙂

Day 24-am. Morning all, I had a little niggle in my head from about 3am this morning, I loan I owe own this month isn't owing lots, but next month with interest rates it's a shocking about from what I actually borrowed in my weak moments a few months ago...roll over loans scare me!! Anyway I texted my friend, who had my card (she works nights so I didn't wake her) and we did some sums and realised if I give her a little bit more money from my 'spending money' i could pay it off this month saving me the money at the end of the month and a huge bill I wouldn't be able to afford next week. I'm ringing up when I've given her the moeny to put back in my account. I know this month I'll have a little less money to spend, but it will save me £100s next month! Which I'll certainly need for Xmas. I just question what the hell was u thinking a few month back?! Anyway that's gone now, it will be sorted later on today and I'll hopefully have a better nights sleep. What's done is done, all I can can do is pay back what I owe. I'm still feelings positive and grateful as I have clothes on my back, on my way to work, my health and food in my cupboards. What more could a girl want right now. Appreciate everything. Much love to you all today! Cx

Well feeling a whole lot better, loan paid saving me nearly £200!!! The relief of not having to worry about that for the next couple of months is great! A little tighter with money for the rest of the month, but worth it to have another debt paid off! A good morning so far. Will update later. Cx
