Hello Sha,

A belated welcome, I have been tracking you since you came to this forum and its good to see the good possee of gamcare buds who have posted to you.

It's a daunting task to rid ourselves of this addiction we confuse as a comfort blanket and living life on life's terms. I won't repeat anything that's been mentioned previously, but do know you will find it empowering by making that phone call or crossing the threshold of GA or therapy but hai, we all deserve the basicness of feeling human and having a good life.

You've been and still going through alot in your life, so remember to be good to you and your kids. No putting yourself down, and even if it's only small try and do a little ' feel good ' factor each day.

Stay close in these early days with your gamcare pals.

Wishing you well

Hi sha, hope you're feeling better. Normally anti depressants take a couple of weeks to take noticeable effect and you should feel a bit better then. Your wee one is only 3 months old and you have loads going on, do you have support from your health visitor?

Phone Gamcare, have a chat and hopefully get some counselling arranged. It's a difficult call to make but once it's done you will be so relieved and you'll probably think 'that wasn't too bad, I wish I'd done it earlier' (that's how I felt). There is also grief counselling from CRUSE where you can discuss your feelings about the loss of your dear Mum.

Very best wishes on your road of recovery. We're all at different stages of the journey and many of us have had difficult starts and dodgy moments when we've lost our way but, the good thing about this road is that you can re-join it whenever you want and need to. We're all here to support each other. Take care xx
