What a lovely thought of yours, Freda, about this sponsorship.

Yes, we are all in a position where we are unable to help others through donations.

But that's not to say that we don't have time to help others.

How about using up some of your valuable time to help out with local charitable organisations close to your heart?

That's what I do each summer. I give up a whole week and this feels so much better than donating.

Just a thought...

GT

Thanks Ade and GT

I haven't written many posts on mine or others' diaries for a few days....just don't have anything to say really!

Still no gambling today is 25 weeks and 4 days.

Hey Freda.. don't even think about going back to "IT".. strengthen your resolve (if you need to) by reading my latest tales of woe. Keep going and happy new year... S.A

Thanks SA

Just posting to say today marks 26 weeks - exactly half a year - since my last gamble of any kind.

My Mother who doesn't know about my problem bought me a lottery ticket a few weeks ago, and I kept it. I didn't like the feeling, but the fact remains in the extremely unlikely event that the ticket won, I could do good things with it like help out a struggling charity for example. It didn't win anything, and if she buys me another ticket I will give it away.

But you did not buy the ticket didn't you?

Anyway, a huge well done on 6 months. That really is fantastic going and you really must be looking towards a whole year of staying away from the evil, dark world called gambling.

Onwards and upwards.

ah fanks guys 🙂

Things are starting to sort themselves out now, bit by bit. I only took tranquilisers 2 days this week, lol, so I am only a part-time nervous wreck now.

My wise words of the week are these: don't waste 2 hours of your life watching eat, pray, love like I did. It is a t**d in film form.

That is all.

I'm not a massive film lover but I will avoid the film that you mentioned.

Life in a Day is well worth watching if you get the chance. Wonderful!

lol Del, happy to help 🙂

Laughter is the best medicine.

I have had a hard couple of days with anxiety, but have done really well. I am proud of myself.

It has been 27 weeks today since I last gambled.

Here's hoping tomorrow is better!
