No gambling today for me, and whatever else is happening that has to continue.

Thats the spirit mucker,40 days for us tomorrow.;-) who would believe it,a guy asked me and 5 a side tonight how my luck was going.the look on his face when I told him I have not placed a bet for 39 days was a picture! Gone are the days of hard luck stories! I hope 1 day I can write to you and arrange a beer of two to celebrate 1 full year without a bet.its great having a similar type of guy and same age to jog along side on this bet free run 😉 superb mate keep it up.

40 days done! This is by far and away the longest ive ever not bet and I didn't think it was possible. Its only a starting point I know, but it's only because of the support on here that ive got this far. Few personal goals in mind but the big two are xmas and the end of the footy season.

40 days mate, absolutely unbelievable for guys like us that were used to eating, sleeping and drinking gambling! I still find it hard as the weekends get closer but usually work on sat to afternoon time so that keeps my head away from it.if I get the weekend of I normally try and plan something with missus and kids of a round

of golf.the dream team is a good way for us to have a wee iinterest in the football and not be losing all our hard earned money on it,plus we dont give our love one,s a hard time if we dont get good points lol its all fun,but I still would like to win it haha. Play a save weekend mucker as we march on to 50 days.have a good weekend ;-);-);-) no bet today will bring to us a better tomorrow

Another weekend ticked off. Real up and down time with plenty of moments of clarity but plenty of urges too. Got to get through this bit but with the great support on here I'm more hopeful than ever.

Hi mate, feeling a bit better today but not 100%. Going to hospital soon as think I have broken my toe so need to get a xray,as if having a sickness bug wasnt enough to go wrong.well done getting through another weekend without a bet mark,i have parts of my weekend where I am totally bored and lost because am not betting and also looking at some results thinking I would be up a fortune if I was betting but the truth is that fortune would find its way straight back to them because I simply cant stop.no matter how hard or boring it may be you are doing the right thing and not placing that 1st bet.you will get there, keep plugging along its not long to xmas.

Same old sh@t today, debts debts guilt and more debt. Feels like a two year prison sentence iv handed myself just to even get back to where I was like ten years ago. But only me to blame and dont deserve a shred of sympathy or to feel good until ive served my time.

Hi mark

I know how you feel the debts are with us like chains holding us down but we must carry on because the alternative would be even more self destructive

There are good days and bad days and as the days continue the good days will outweigh the bad days we have to continue forward as I hAve said the debts will slowly go down and our life will get better

Stay strong mark think positive it's not a sentence it's the only way to a happier and healthier future

Stay safe and take care

Suzanne xx

Day 44 in the clear. Gambling definitely playing second fiddle to other pressing issues at the moment, most of which are inky life as a result of gambling anyway. Trying to stay as positive as possible.

Yeah stay as positive as you can mate. I know gambling doesn't only make you poor but it effects everything in your life. But if you can keep away from gambling you can look back in years to come that this was a bad blip in your life but in the end you achieved something positive because this gambling disease is hard to get rid of

Well done mate, its not easy at all trying not to think about the past but we are doing the right thing and staying gamble free mate. I was absolutely sick of being sick.lets get xmas out the way then its a new year to follow on from this year bet free.there is a few transfer windows on dream team league, think the 1st one is the 2nd of September.if you look on online at dream team it shows you all window dates.think you can change 3 players each window. I need to change half a team haha.
