Day 103

I feel that I'm starting to forget that gambling was once part of my life. It's a really strange feeling but I have to stay focused and always keep my guard up !

I've have had a really busy week . I applied for a private /agency work and got the job wohooo ! It's better to work than to gamble if I want extra income ! It was one of my reasons why I gambled before !

@bro thanks for all your support ! You're doing well yourself . Keep up the good work .

@Sharon you must be heading 200 days 😉 thank you for all your support and stay strong .

@ nev we're doing well buddy ! Just keep fighting no matter what ! Don't let anything let you down . I'm rooting for you man . Much respect .

@itmatters GF twin you're a legend ! I kept my promise to stay foot with you ! I guess you're right about will power 😉

@mixer my man I should see you tonight in the chat room if you're around ! I must admit I've been slacking hahahahaha let's goooooo and let's stay GF !

I wish it was that easy sars mate, I'm enjoying the gf life like you say it's getting to thinking that gambling wasn't part of my life, can't get complacent though. Keep battling on through. Unfortunately though my friend I have lost the one thing I didn't want to lose. And that is my relationship with my fiancГ©e, she can't get over it and she's ended it all and which in turn we are going to have to sell our house. I'm in turmoil over this mate, it's so hard but it hasn't driven me to turn back to gambling so that is the only plus

Day 112

Just got back from Berlin ! We've had an amazing holiday ! Life is so much better without gambling I'm telling y'all that right now ! A few challenges there as there's casino etc . But all these temptations didn't work to me ! I always have my guard up. I saw a guy flushing all his money on bookies whilst walking pass the shop , I feel sorry for him 🙁 although he looked happy as fudge .

@mixer Germany was amazing ! I'm already thinking of the next stop to keep the wife and the family happy 😉

Your doing so well Sars, getting rid of the destructive gambling means you can enjoy life, maintain a good lifestyle and take good care of body and soul. When we can start to love and respect ourselves we can treat others in the same way. We all know we're not fun to be around when we had our gambling heads on. Keep posting my friend, I find your approach to recovery is a real inspiration.....stephen

Glad you had a great time,Sars, and don't forget this is the new reality if you want it (and you do!).

About that bloke in the bookies. He was happy because he won that bet, whilst you were passing. But picture his expression when he LEFT the shop, a little later.....

Exactly.

Glad you're back safely, my man! 🙂

Day 114

I'm still GF! Loving life and looking forward to see how much more improvement I can make to our lives from abstaining ! I'm not backing down and I ain't got time to gamble 😉

@ sir Stephen you're such a gentleman and an inspiration ! Please don't change as your helping us all get through with the daily battle against gambling ! I happy that I've also inspired you with my unorthodox approach !

@ mixer your words are so real my man ! That kinda hit me when you said " picture the guy a little later" . You're right we can only win when we stop !

Day 120

Going to a friends wedding today and it should be fun ! Have had an amazing week ! Still GF !

Had a gambling dream 2 nights ago where I bet on a roulette and my money tripled up ! Well I don't know but in my dreams I wasn't enjoying the win and I decided to leave the money in the casino .. such a weird one even though my vice was online ! I've only been to a real casino once.

@ matt thanks for visiting my diary dude ! Next week is a big week for you ! 🙂

Here's a thought, Sars.

The reason why you (and me, and others) are dreaming about gambling is because the gambling devil side of our brain has worked out we are seriously stopping.

It's a last-gasp attempt at getting us to stop by 'brute force', making is dream against it against our will.

But are we going to buckle? Are we fudge!!!

120 days... great achievement, well done!

The positivity in your posts is clear to see and I look forward to having that back in my life. Sounds like you are winning at the only game that matters.... life.

Take care and stay GF mate.
